I use Windows 11 and Apple mobile devices. Most of my experience is with choice games--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Road to Empress, visual novels like Oxenfree and Cinders, sims like Long Live the Queen and Magical Diary, and CYOA books where you turn to a page for every choice, like Lost in Austen--but I’d be delighted with a parser game too. Puzzles, mazes, and timers aren’t a strength of mine, so I would enjoy a walkthrough if those are present.

Cornelia Hale (W.I.T.C.H. Cartoon), Elyon Brown (W.I.T.C.H. Cartoon)
I rewatched earlier this year and remembered how much I liked these two! I adore Cornelia's loyalty to Elyon--it says so much that she never even seems to get mad, let alone doubt her--and it delights me that Elyon was the one who woke Cornelia up to herself at the end of season two. It's also fun when Cornelia describes Elyon's perfect guy and it's herself, complete with the magic-inflected hair flip. Platonic or romantic, I am very into their vibe.
What if they had had more time/relationship stuff together while Elyon was being deceived? I liked that in the comics, and it would be cool to see that in the show's version of the story, with or without it altering the general course of events. Plus, it's a gothicish castle (occasionally masquerading as a cheerful one)...one gothic heroine coming in to save another? Or a Gothic AU, where Elyon really did just move away somewhere distant and isolated, and Cornelia is coming to investigate because she doesn't seem herself anymore? (I love the novel Mexican Gothic, and at twelve was a big fan of Victoria Holt and Phyllis A. Whitney gothic romance paperbacks.)
I love when Cornelia gets the powers of all the guardians and is just running around cheerily taking villains out; what if Elyon had been witness to it? Or maybe it could be worked into conversation, a joking remark on knowing what it's like to be as powerful as Elyon?
Involve whichever characters you find relevant or interesting! Re: ships, I mention above that I like Cornelia/Elyon, but I am also fond of Cornelia/Caleb and their sometimes bickery affection, so you're free to write them into the story, or have them be in the past if you go for the femslash. Also, as a hero/villain shipper from an even more tender age than when I first watched this show, I wouldn't mind older!Cornelia/Phobos (doomed is fine too, or a passing attraction) somehow, whether in the canon's setting or in an AU like the above-mentioned gothic one. But feel free to ignore any of this if it doesn't interest you!
Black Magician Series - Trudi Canavan
Sonea (Black Magician Series)
I love her because she is so strong but also, like Casiopea in my other request, so shaped by her surroundings. She doesn't fight as much as she could not just because she's too nice and afraid of losing control, like the other magicians think, but because she's aware it could blow back on her, between her background and the active malice which reacts to it. Sonea doesn't think she can win the overall war, for good reason--but also she can, and she does, when given the support to see that. Also, even when she has a bleak perspective on her future, she still doesn't actually stop resisting her fate in whatever way she can find. Her perspective is limited by the boundaries her world sets her, but she can learn to expand it and imagine more for herself.
Revisiting the series this year and I want to see my girl exploring her potential! Whether navigating the Guild immediately after the invasion, trying to set up the hospice, or throughout the decades as she gains a stronger position due to her actions there + the changing membership of the Guild (and perhaps a shifting attitude to black magic?) I really love when she goes back to Sachaka as an official Guild member with magical support, and I'd love to see more of her being so important to them--and being recognized as such--after the events of the Traitor trilogy.
Also, the undercurrent of the king's place in her life stood out to me; his Purges are the reason she hates the Guild and awakens, then he's the reason she's allowed into the Guild, and when she learns black magic, he wants to keep her around instead of his friend--per Lorlen's pov, because he doesn't trust Akkarin but thought he could influence Sonea--and then Akkarin gets Sonea to rescue him. So the king ends up being saved by Sonea and the Thieves. And Rothen thinks she has the pride of a king...so what does a hypothetical post-BMT meeting look like?
But involve whichever characters you find relevant and/or interesting for your story! Ship-wise, I always love spending time with Sonea and Akkarin before and during their relationship, so I'd enjoy time spent together, or maybe loaded pre-relationship interactions, or a what if he'd gotten around to giving her Warrior lessons as intended before everything blew up, or a world in which he survives and they navigate the Guild's changes together. I'm also intrigued by Sonea and Regin, despite how much stress The Novice still causes me--how did he find his way into genuinely admiring her? I like that he does actually get there, whereas for her she's just starting to explore being happy in a relationship again. What does that look like after the last books? As with my other prompts, these are just suggestions; feel free not to do anything with ships at all!
Gods of Jade and Shadow - Silvia Moreno-Garcia
Casiopea Tun
After adoring the author's take on gothic romance, I ended up reading this take on another childhood love, epic fantasy--and man oh man it's so good. I love Casiopea's journey to a bigger, better life; that she started out so clearly chafing at her terrible family, but also so clearly bound by it she doesn't know how to get out, and how her road trip/fantasy quest is triggered by her own behavior. The limits of her world thus far have affected her ability to leave it, to know how to, but she is still herself, and she learns.
The magical bond between her and Hun-Kamé is excellent, with the way he becomes more human as she comes into herself more through the quest. I'd love a story that played with that! Or separately from the bond, on their relationship afterwards, when they must dwell in separate worlds, but he's still sometimes interceding.
I'd also love to see her adventuring, whether on another road in a faraway land, or on the sea that means so much to her. She could use her powers to talk to the dead, or maybe hang out with Loray, or write a letter to her mother. Meet other gods or demons maybe? What if she learned some magic, or took her mother someplace? Does she ever get to talk to her father again? Bring in any characters you find interesting or relevant to the story?
In terms of ships, if you'd like to know, I enjoy Casiopea and Hun-Kamé a lot, but would also like to read about her and Loray if you're interested in going there! Definitely don't feel like you need to write a ship though; I love Casiopea and would love to be in her story again regardless.
Thank you so much for coming; I really hope Yuletide is fun for you this year!
