I use Windows 10 and Apple mobile devices. Most of my experience is with choice games--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Affairs of the Court, visual novels like Oxenfree and Cinders, dating sims like Long Live the Queen and Magical Diary , and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I’d be delighted with a parser game too. Puzzles, mazes, and timers aren’t a strength of mine, so I would enjoy a walkthrough if those are present.

Black Magician Trilogy - Trudi Canavan

Sonea (Black Magician Trilogy)
Akkarin (Black Magician Trilogy)
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags; or it may use exceptions I explain in the form

I love them! I love how Sonea's curiosity becomes the catalyst for the overarching plot and the way the books slowly bring them together as that plot moves, and how Akkarin seems to stand out in the narrative before we begin to be led into why. The little foreshadowing bits, too--how Sonea thinks he's a Guild assassin and then he kind of is, and how Vinara thinks Sonea might be capable of doing his job, which is exactly what happens by the end of the trilogy. And of course, their actual relationship! From the weird tense bits when he makes them have dinner, actually gets annoyed by her not engaging with him--he can't buy her things!--and becomes emotionally invested in watching her get away from Regin's gang, all of which is a perpetual gothic-tinged horror show on her end, to his wanting to justify the fight she witnessed in her basement, and of course, the change when she learns the truth and he tells someone what happened for the first time ever. The getting together is delightful, and everything after that. I love Sonea pointing out the truth when she says things will never go back to how they were with the Guild, and Akkarin echoing this later. And all the touching, and the use of telepathy. But what if it had taken a bit longer for the Guild to discover them? (Weeks, months, years. Is it long enough for Sonea to become a healer and help with secret post-battle injuries? How does the hostage thing work then?) Or how might things develop if Akkarin survived--how would they leverage their positions in the Guild? I'd also love any missing scene from any point in their relationship/dynamic, outsider pov from someone watching them interact (or watching one watch the other), or perhaps a post-canon memory framed by Akkarin's death.

If you would prefer to only write/focus on one character, I would like it to be Sonea. (Though for the outsider pov prompt, I would enjoy someone watching Akkarin interact with/watch Sonea just as much as someone watching Sonea interact with/watch Akkarin!) Feel free mention Sonea's other canon relationships, bring in the other nominated characters, or any others! And material from the prequel/sequel books; I read and enjoyed them too.

Gods of Jade and Shadow - Silvia Moreno-Garcia

Casiopea Tun
Hun-Kame (Gods of Jade and Shadow)
Loray (Gods of Jade and Shadow)
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags; or it may use exceptions I explain in the form

I love all of these characters! I enjoy the dynamic of mortal and god shifting to mortal and mortal with Casiopea and Hun-Kamé, and that final tension moving towards the realization that the bond is still there, beyond the magic that tied them, transformed into genuine and abiding love. It feels tender and beautiful. (That moment in the sea! The myth-tinged description of their farewell! The book-long evocation of Francisco Quevedo!) She sacrificed their relationship and herself for the world, and had the whole world open up for her as a result. She's so in love, but also so willing to embrace her new start in life. Meanwhile, Hun-Kamé was so gentle bringing her back to life, and I love the thought of this experience shaping the underworld. And then his getting Loray to help Casiopea get out of there! I would love to see Casiopea's further adventures in the world, with Loray or once they separate. Maybe Loray sticks around with her for a while because he wants to, or he could teach her things, or both! I enjoy their interactions. Casiopea/Loray could go here. Both Casiopea/Hun-Kamé and Casiopea/Loray are good! Seeing as Hun-Kamé decided to get Loray to help her, perhaps he keeps finding moments when he can influence her life, or Casiopea finds a reason to do the sacrifices to bring him out of the underworld. I'd also just love to see Casiopea using her new abilities, maybe encountering other gods and demons as she travels Mexico/the world. What does she write her mother? Does she ever take her with her?

If you would prefer to only write/focus on one character, I would like it to be Casiopea. Feel free to bring in anyone I didn't nominate if that's where your ideas take you!

The Wheel of Time (TV)

Nynaeve al'Meara (WoT TV)
Liandrin Guirale (WoT TV)
My gift must feature all of my chosen character tags (if 0: any from tag set)

They were my favorite part of season two. I never forgot the bit in season one when Liandrin says this of Nynaeve: "She knows the world would be better if it followed the rules. Her rules." And oh did the second season build on that! I love when Liandrin tells her she wants her to be so powerful not even she can shield her. The manipulation is so interesting because it mixes lies with truth; Nynaeve came to trust her because of her compassion over Liandrin's son, and that played into her taking the trial of the arches, but of course Liandrin does love her son, swore herself to the dark for him. The moment when they discuss turning to the dark, after Nynaeve and the others are Liandrin's captives, seems sincere, along with Liandrin's sentiments regarding Seanchan slavery. Nynaeve knew she was a snake right off, and yet let herself trust her, and connect with her--or so she thought. She chose to come to the Tower, where she never feels like she belongs, for the chance to protect Egwene, but she doesn't succeed. She collared a sul'dam and assumed that role for Egwene. I love the parallels in these characters both doing evil things for someone they love, and not being able to save them anyway. Also, the existing parallels, with Wisdoms being part of a community of women, though they serve the village, and Ais Sedai being women who serve the world (with an emphasis on the women part for Liandrin's Red Ajah.) What if the plan hadn't involved turning the girls over, or if Liandrin could've kept Nynaeve? What did she think would happen if releasing the girls led to none of them being enslaved? Or what if Lanfear had taken Liandrin from Ishamael earlier; would there be a different plan for Nynaeve and Egwene? How do future interactions turn out, with this history between them?

Feel free to make this shippy or keep things as they are in canon, or bring in any of the other characters and their canon relationships; whatever inspires you! I love them all.

Thank you so much for your interest! May your Yuletide be wonderful.
