I use Windows 7 and Apple mobile devices. Most of my experience is with choice games--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Affairs of the Court, visual novels like Oxenfree and Cinders, dating sims like Long Live the Queen and Magical Diary , and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I’d be delighted with a parser game too. Puzzles, mazes, and timers aren’t a strength of mine, so I would enjoy a walkthrough if those are present.

NOS4A2 (TV 2019)

Medium: Fiction

Vic McQueen (NOS4A2 TV)

Theme: Any Theme (Theme: Canon Typical Horror, Theme: Canon Atypical Horror, Theme: Out of Genre, Theme: Winter Holidays, Theme: Winter Seasonal, Theme: No Theme)heme: Any Theme

Any Rating

Length/Finding It: This is a TV series of two seasons, with each episode a little under an hour long. For this canon, you can watch the first season or both seasons; I'd be happy with works based on either time period! For where to find it streaming or available for digital purchase, here is it's JustWatch page. You can change the region in the "Watch Now" box. It has also been released physically on DVD and blu-ray.

The show puts its characters through the push and pull of reality and fantasy; I like the contrast between first season Vic's determination to stay grounded in reality even as the life she's trying to keep together fractures, and second season Vic's absorption in the fantasy world she was thrown in, to the point where she feels broken and disconnected from her past self and thinks killing Manx for good is the only thing she can offer her family/the world. (And drowns herself in drink when she can neither fulfill her goal or live her life.) Anything that touches on her attempts to hold herself together for one goal or the other would be great; I'd also love something set during a quiet moment with one (or both) of her parents--or Lou, Wayne, Craig, or Maggie. I like also the story dynamics with her foils in Maggie--who embraces herself even at the cost of losing her family and home, and is happy to set aside her powers to build a life, before choosing to re-integrate that part of herself--and Charlie (who destroys his life when it doesn't meet his fantasy and keeps destroying any chance at something real afterwards, as with, for example, Jolene and Millie); something which touched on that would be so cool!

So there's no doubt as to whether I'd be happy with a given relationship or character being included: all her canon dynamics are of interest to me, whether platonic or romantic. For non-canon ships, I'd be into Vic/Maggie.

On DNWs: I've DNW'd rape and permanently dead female characters, but references to canon instances of these things, and the absence-in-presence (memory, grief, stress) of canonically dead female characters, are all fine.

Length/Finding It: NOS4A2 is a TV series of two seasons, with each episode a little under an hour long. For this canon, you can watch the first season or both seasons; I'd be happy with works based on either time period! Buffy is a TV series of seven seasons, with episodes around 44 minutes long. For where to find it streaming or available for digital purchase, here is NOS4A2's JustWatch page, and here is Buffy's. You can change the region in the "Watch Now" box. NOS4A2 has also been released physically on DVD and blu-ray, and Buffy has been released on DVD.

Three different women who've had the supernatural--and specifically vampires--thrust upon them! I'd love something that touched on the similarities/contrasts between their lives. Maybe they meet and one of them recognize herself in the other, or she doesn't and it's left to the reader to see the connection. Maybe Wishverse Buffy hears of Vic and tries to find Christmasland herself, so they run into each other, or normal Buffy runs away to Gunbarrel instead of L.A. (Feel free to smush/handwave the timelines so part of Buffy's show can happen during Vic's or vice versa, or keep Buffy in the 90s/00s and Vic in 2012/2020; whatever makes you happy!) What if Drusilla wants to be Vic's mommy, perhaps remembering how her own mother felt about her being psychic?

On DNWs: I've DNW'd rape and permanently dead female characters, but references to canon instances of these things, and the absence-in-presence (memory, grief, stress) of canonically dead female characters, are all fine.

The way magic works here is fascinating. It all broke down when Sophia's intentions were not what she disclosed, and then with her doing what she wasn't meant to do, but she was able to make it stop with the choices she made for herself. I'd love something like an excerpt from a thesis on intent and doing magic/breaking magic's hold, or an excerpt from a book discussing how a ritual to do something different from what she asked for (resurrection maybe?) could or couldn't work, and discussing the possible effects/ways to mitigate or stop them. Examples of people doing magic--including doing it wrong--are also welcome!

On DNWs: I've dnw'd maiming, mutilation, torture, and permanently dead female characters, but allusions/references/implications with regard to those things are fine to include for this fandom.

The mini horror story in "Forever," as Buffy and Dawn grieved for their mother, really got to me, especially the bit with whatever Dawn summoned arriving at the house. Buffy going from the older sister trying to maintain strength to her breakdown to the little "mommy" when she heard that knock...what if she'd opened the door before Dawn could rip the photograph? Alternately, what if there was another scenario in which Buffy was haunted by Joyce--or something that appeared to be her--like Dawn was? I'd love further exploration of Buffy's grief and attempts to rebuild her life and herself after her mother's death, and horror seems a fine way to do it. Though the request is for a focus on Buffy and Joyce, feel free to include Dawn and her relationships with these characters!

So there's no doubt as to whether I'd be happy with a given relationship or character being included: all her platonic canon dynamics, as well as her canon romances with Angel and Riley, are fine.

On DNWs: I've dnw'd permanently dead female characters, but of course Joyce being dead is fine for this request, and allusions/references/implications with regard to other dead female characters are fine to include too.

Thank you so much for your time and interest! Wishing you a positive exchange experience!
