Please disregard any variation in length when it comes to prompts/thoughts. I want all of these things!

All my requests are for fanfiction.

I use Windows 7 and Apple mobile devices. Most of my experience is with choice games--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Affairs of the Court, visual novels like Oxenfree and Cinders, dating sims like Long Live the Queen and Magical Diary , and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I’d be delighted with a parser game too. Puzzles, mazes, and timers aren’t a strength of mine, so I would enjoy a walkthrough if those are present.

I love Vic and all her struggles throughout both seasons; when she tries to get out of the dead end she’s afraid of being stuck in, and when she feels there’s no escape, that she herself is damaged beyond repair and her life will be bound up in all the suffering she’s endured, but chooses to try anyway, not just for the immediate purpose of saving her son, but so they can both live better afterwards in their family with Lou.

She and Charlie use self-destructive coping methods in response to their pain, Vic with the more obvious alcohol, Charlie with the less obvious—particularly to him—method of giving up on the world altogether except as a feeding ground, with rationalizations so self-righteous he cannot see through them. They’re isolated, even when they have people trying to reach them, and in canon they end up in different places. Vic is snapped out of her trance by the presence of the friend she risked herself to save, and is herself finally saved her from dying with Charlie, in keeping with how they fight for each other throughout the show. Her way of recovering afterward and being present is to forsake her magical gift entirely. Charlie doubled down on his choices every time he was presented a chance to choose differently, even to the point of abandoning Millie to the outside world in favor of his pursuit of Vic, leaving himself wholly isolated after not being able to listen to the last person who wanted to connect with him, choosing his own magical gift and self-created world instead. I like how his story ends up mirroring but also contrasting hers.

Time Travel/Time Loop/Dimension Tags - Given this canon’s focus on trauma and how it can be part of you and extend to others, how a person can be “stuck” in it, and identify with it or experience life’s possibilities as bound by it, I think time travel, time loops, and alternate dimensions could provide interesting looks at these characters. They could be stuck and relive their pain, or relate to who they were/will be in a more literal way, or see who they might have been, or could still be. I feel like with time travel, there’s so much more opportunity for self-reflection, self-knowledge and understanding, and change. At least for Vic. Though maybe if Charlie hit rock bottom enough, even he might change his approach a little? Either way, time/dimension stuff!

ALL: The afterlife has the same setting rules as in The Good Place
ALL: The afterlife has the same setting rules as in Dead Like Me

As with the time travel and alternate dimension tags, being in the afterlife can provide for self-reflection, self-knowledge, understanding, and change. You're the same person, but your life is gone and you've got another one, kinda, from which to make something. Fun!

ALL: Characters' old memories & lives replaced with new ones - effect isn't permanent

How much of you is unchangeable, fixed? How much do you learn about where the boundaries are when your memories have been removed or suppressed from your consciousness, and then you get them back after thinking you were someone else?

ALL: Lost Girl Fusion

Vic already has some of Bo's backstory--she unintentionally kills a lover and it marks her permanently, leading her to leave home, and feeling isolated in her troubles. What if her powers also involved being a succubus with no knowledge of it? Or maybe things go down closer to how they do in the show, but this time she ends up finding herself in a place with two groups of Creatives and starts to learn more about herself/her powers?

ALL: Silent Hill (2006) Fusion

With NOS4A2's magic residing in people creating their own worlds and making them real, and the themes of family and trauma, I thought it would be an interesting fit with Silent Hill, a movie about a woman trying to save her adopted child, who in turn is a separated part of a traumatized little girl who pulled a whole town into a separate world after the people in it abused her and failed to help her.
I could see Vic being drawn in to help a child. Also, given Charlie's origin story, his need as an adult to find a "mother," and his creation of a world he stores people in, perhaps in this fusion he'd be drawing Vic in to test her suitability in his eyes.

ALL: Soulbond Forms Between Enemies

In how these characters interact, Vic destroys Charlie and he derails her life, which means they each inform how the other ends up. What if that link were made literal, in soulbond form? Maybe something with how they've both been in each other's inscapes, and how Vic killed him in hers?

ALL: A Quiet Place Fusion

The horror of an incredibly stressful ongoing situation, the isolation from others; Vic experiences this in the show. Why not have her experience it with a Quiet Place fusion? With or without the added complication of Charlie Manx.

ALL: Black Jewels AU

I like the idea of Vic having power and rank through this world-building, and given Charlie's issues with hatred/desire and need for control over others, it could be interesting to see how that world-building would factor into the story.

ALL: Inception fusion

NOS4A2 already involves getting into people's heads; what if it could only be done the Inception way? Adventures trying to alter someone's mind/find something/dodging the dangers and obstacles inherent to this endeavor would be interesting!

All: A Is a Ghost Only B Can See

Given that ghosts do exist in this universe, and that they seem to be tied both to a Creative's power to break through dimensions and the personal connections they had to the living, it makes sense that Vic could have ghosts. Like Charlie, who died in her inscape. In her case, it could be tied to the work of recovery, and making a life instead of being stuck needing to destroy him.

All: Ghost Who Doesn't Realize They are Dead

If anyone's not going to realize or accept they're dead and done, it's Charlie. Vic has to send him away.

NOS4A2: Vic aborts her pregnancy
NOS4A2: Vic is never pregnant

I'm captivated by the what ifs in Vic's life. She was determined to get out, and marriage and children didn't seem to be in the cards for her, at least not yet. Still, we see throughout the first season how she struggles between that determined wish and the fear that she doesn't belong in the life she wants, that it's not something meant for her. The suffering she endures seems to make her feelings of despair, of not belonging, solidify until she gives up on her dreams for the immediate future, and tries to make new ones with the good things she still has. But what if she didn't? What if she went the other direction? Gave up or postponed the idea of having her own children, perhaps to get the mission of rescuing the ones in Christmasland? Or if she wasn't pregnant at all? Would she then go to college, in addition to or instead of finding Christmasland; how would she handle that, given how she would still have the canon problems of her unhealed and unprocessed trauma, and her difficulties talking about it, even with people who are close enough to the situation to know of the supernatural aspects?

Both of these relationships are so interesting! There's a push and pull with Maggie and Vic, who keep finding themselves on different pages when it comes to whether or not they need to be going after Manx, but who still connect and reconnect, who know what it's like to feel isolated and crave a space in the world for themselves, and who save each other. Vic and Wayne have a push and pull too; Vic's need to protect him, and her unhealed trauma, leading her to distance herself from him until it becomes necessary for her to do the opposite to save him, and Wayne's need for her, his desire to understand, paired with his own pain around her leaving him and scaring him and his desire to just be comfortable without any worries.

I could see Vic and Maggie being drawn in to help a child, and helping each other survive. With Wayne, and the way in canon that he both loves his mother and is furious with her, and how that's tangled up in her putting him in danger--however unintentionally, however much she was trying to protect him--perhaps he ends up being Creative too, and makes his own world as a response to what he goes through in the second season, and either he puts Vic in it or she has to breach it, to get them out. I didn't add Lou to the tag with Vic and Wayne because of where my focus is, but I love him and his role in their lives, so feel free to include that in a story with them.

ALL: A Quiet Place Fusion

The horror of an incredibly stressful ongoing situation, the isolation from others; Vic, Wayne, and Maggie all experience this in the show. Why not have them experience it with a Quiet Place fusion? Maybe Vic and Maggie help each other survive, whether they find each other around the time it happens or years later. Maybe Wayne, stressed in a similar way as in the show, with Vic herself stressed and worried under the strain, acts out or is lured away, and Vic has to save him from the monsters, or from other monsters while dealing with the kind in the movie. I didn't add Lou to the tag with Vic and Wayne because of where my focus is, but I love him and his role in their lives, so feel free to include that in a story with them. Feel free to include NOS4A2's antagonists in a story for any of the requested tags too.

ALL: non-LOST character experiences time-traveling consciousness requiring Constant

I really love the notion of this kind of time travel, with the mind slipping between one time and another, and the stabilization requiring being able to rely on another person. It feels like it would fit Maggie and Vic, who aren't always close but who do pull through to save each other. It would also be interesting to see it with Vic and Wayne, given how they feel the tie that binds them, while also feeling ambivalence about how they work as mother and son. I didn't add Lou to the tag with Vic and Wayne because of where my focus is, but I love him and his role in their lives, so feel free to include that in a story with them.

I love Uhura with her assertiveness, her drive, and her tenderness for people she cares about. I love the quiet, intimate, in a world of their own relationship with Spock that they just seem to fit into the wider universe they exist in. I love the younger Spock, in some ways shouldering more than his other self did at a younger age, but in also more willing to and capable of handling his emotions in a way that lets him seek and maintain a close personal connection in the form of romance than that other self could when that young. I love the older, original Spock, with the pain he carries but also the wisdom, the understanding and decisiveness born from it. I love other selves and the reflections and differences which can inspire thought and interest in each other and in the people around them.

Star Trek AOS: Vulcan isn't destroyed

This universe is already different even before Vulcan is destroyed; how would things have looked without that destruction? Just looking at the differences in the characters' lives without that weight.

Star Trek AOS: Sarek dies instead of Amanda

Amanda's death leads to Spock and Sarek connecting over love and Spock actually leaning towards his emotional inside instead of suppressing it; would Sarek's lead to him feeling he should seem more properly Vulcan--especially with the planet gone, unless you want to combine this with the "Vulcan isn't destroyed tag"--or would leaning on Amanda counter that? What about Spock Prime--would he counter that? Would he be sort of a different Vulcan model for his younger self? And I'd like to see Uhura meet and connect with Amanda.

Star Trek AOS: Spock stays captain

It would be interesting to add this change to the alternate universe; does this wind up with Earth being destroyed, or do they find another way to prevent that than in the movie? Or maybe things go as they do in the movie, except that Spock comes back as captain, if you interpret "stays" as "is only temporarily and briefly not in the post due to the movies events." What kind of universe does that create for the characters? For the relationships, how do the dynamics shake out with him in charge? It wouldn't be quite the life the older Spock expected for his younger self, but of course he's the one who would have another life to compare it to. Meanwhile, Uhura and Spock are already navigating a relationship while trying to do their jobs well; how does that look with him getting to captain?

Star Trek: The universal translator never existed

I'd love to read about navigating contact with different species in a context like this! Diplomacy, exploration, romance if you want to do the ship.

Star Trek: Vulcans make first contact with Earth earlier than they did in canon

Maybe the canon characters are AU'd into the 20th century instead of being written in that context, and this happens when humans first start to get into space, or even earlier, when science fiction stories like War of the Worlds are coming out. Or maybe it's the present day! I would also be interested in it being set in an earlier period, or another time I didn't mention, if it interests you! Or if you want to make it so that the characters themselves aren't transplanted to that earlier first contact time, but you're interested in exploring how things might be if their galaxy's past was changed in this way?

Regency (straightforward or fantasy/science fiction)

Regency balls and walks in the woods and parties and etiquette! Pursuing/creating a future, or just enjoying a quiet evening. Don't worry about getting all the possible historical details right!

ALL: Planetary Romance

This is basically adventures on a planet where the culture and geography are vivid and major to the story. Maybe Uhura is a lone explorer getting caught up in intrigue on Vulcan or another alien world. Maybe she or they they have to go on a quest? The brave human heroine has an adventure on an different world, and if shippy, wins the heart of a beautiful alien (or beautiful aliens) in the midst of whatever trouble comes their way?

ALL: Black Jewels AU

I just like the thought of Uhura having power through the world-building of this universe, and how that might factor in her dynamics with others!

ALL: High Fantasy AU

Sorceress Uhura! Elf Spock! Or maybe they're both bards! Or magic bards! Older mystic Spock full of secrets!

ALL: Sorcerer to the Crown Fusion

I think these characters could be interesting in a fusion with Sorcerer to the Crown by Zen Cho, or using a similar premise. That is, the book has a hero with a precarious position in high society due to his background, and the unusually gifted heroine shakes both him and said society up with her own ambitions and origins when she comes into his life. It could be fun to play with the Spocks' issues as half-human and half-Vulcan in a fantasy Regency context, and to have that interact with Uhura trying to find her own way in society—whether or not you choose to bring in her race or decide to keep the aspect of Star Trek's utopian universe that says it's not a problem. I'm good with either of those choices.

ALL: Space Setting like that of Silver Millenium in Sailor Moon

I just super loved the Sailor Moon past life background as a kid, with the magic planetary crystals that unlock your powers and the planets in the solar system being fantasy kingdoms. It would be so cool to see Star Trek done like this, whether you want to go with the aliens now being from the other planets from around the Earth's solar system, or them still being from their own canon home planets, just with magic planetary crystals, and Sailor Moon magic in general, being a thing.

Star Trek: Spock and Uhura meet around the Discovery-era

I just think it would be cool if they met when they were younger and Spock was fresh off dealing with the time plot messing with his head, and/or fresh off having to lose his sister. I really love the dynamic in TOS, and wonder how it might be if Uhura were around a Spock who’s both younger and more vulnerable because of all that’s happening around this time in his life? The troubled one who’s willing to tell Michael he finds he likes expressing his emotions, but is also still messed up by the kind of things his sister told him when they were children? He’s a bit pricklier here, though of course a lot of that is seen with Michael. Uhura’s an observant person with a light touch when it comes to interpersonal dynamics; that is, my impression is she knows to reach people, even people who on the surface might not seem easily reached. How close would she be to who she is by the time of TOS, and what would they make of each other?

20s/Jazz Age

Jazz Age Uhura! 1920s Uhura! I'd just love to see her, or her and Spock, at a jazz club or rehearsing jazz, whether in a more straightforward historical AU or a more science-fictional AU (maybe Vulcans are known to Earth sooner, or it's just Uhura who knows them. And they like jazz!) Don't worry about getting all the possible historical details right!

I love the mirror universe and how it's used to show connection and disconnection, who you could be, how relationships can be similar but different, or just not exist. So here, Uhura's charm could have a deadly edge, and where in the original universe there's a degree of ease and trust in her dynamic with Spock, what kind of understanding would exist in this one?

Star Trek: Vulcans make first contact with Earth earlier than they did in canon

I love Michael and Spock's fraught relationship, with the love and the tension; it broke my heart that they had to separate just as they were reconciling. I love Book and Michael, with Book's great empathy and understanding of her, and Michael being able and willing to depend on him. And I love that these three characters have stories about connecting/reconnecting with others and finding themselves better for it! Also, Book's perspective on both Michael and Spock being that their overachievers is fun, and made me think of Spock telling Michael she took on too much; how would it play out if something similar was thought of him with all three of them together?

Star Trek: Spock does go into the future with the Discovery
ALL: Dimension travel to a universe where the characters are in a relationship

Like I said in the general blurb above this, I'd just love for Michael and Spock to have more time together, and for the Book/Michael/Spock option, to see how that dynamic would play out! And I like how alternate dimensions can provide for self-reflection and understanding.

Star Trek: Spock goes through pon farr with Michael around

However this went down--with Michael never having left and being there at the right time after they reconciled, or with Spock going into the future, or with Spock undergoing it much earlier than in canon, possibly during Discovery's second season or before when they were still estranged--I feel it would be intense and interesting.

ALL: Society Allows Sibling Marriage as Platonic Partnership (But This One Isn't Platonic)

More fraughtness to an already fraught relationship!

ALL: everyone is poly

Book/Michael/Spock, all poly, all together.

ALL: Southern Reach Fusion

The Southern Reach is this genuine unknown that changes/recreates the people who go in it, and it would be interesting to see it brought into Star Trek, where people like going into the unknown, and see how these characters with their personal issues react to it/its existence.

ALL: Frozen Fusion

So two children, once inseparable, become estranged after a situation in which one's heart becomes closed off, and though the other later tries to reach them, it's not an easy road back to a relationship. I definitely thought of the Frozen story after watching their relationship play out--especially given how the separation comes about due to the eldest sibling's anxiety and protectiveness--and it would be so cool to see a story with them which draws from it!

ALL: Black Jewels AU

I just like the thought of Michael having power through the world-building of this universe, and how that might factor in her dynamics with others!

Regency (straightforward or fantasy/science fiction)

Regency balls and walks in the woods and parties and etiquette! Pursuing/creating a future, or just enjoying a quiet evening. Don't worry about getting all the possible historical details right!

ALL: Dragon Rider AU - Dragons Mating Means Their Riders Are Forced Into a Marriage Bond As Well

It might be interesting if you wanted to put this together with pon farr in some way!

ALL: High Fantasy AU

Elf Spock! Elf ward Michael! Both of them owing part of themselves to elfhood and another part to humanity! Wizard Book who can speak to the animals!

ALL: Russian Doll Time Loop
ALL: Being in a time loop together leads to getting together

I really loved the notion of different people stuck in a deadly loop until they could find and help each other, and it could fit Michael&/Spock or Book/Michael/Spock, with their coming together bringing them to greater understanding of themselves and a better place in their lives.

Soulbonds

Between the canonical soulbonds that can exist with coming into contact with a Vulcan's katra, and Book's empathetic abilities, I'm sure something fun could happen to create a bond!

I love the mirror universe and how it's used to show connection and disconnection, who you could be, how relationships can be similar but different, or just not exist. And I love these two characters! So, how would Michael meeting her estranged brother in another timeline, one in which she's the empress's daughter and he's trying to make it in a Terran world, go? Where would he be anyway, given that in the Terran empire humans are an oppressing force, his father is/was an important part of a resistance against them, and we know he'll still be in a command position on a Terran starship years later? How is he climbing the ranks, and could that bring him to the attention of Mirror Michael?

Isolated girls touched by the supernatural in ways they don't at first understand, and vampires! (Dru is both of course.) They all want to be good--or in Dru's case, used to want it--and find connection with others, have a place in the world. They're all brought to a state of hopelessness at one point or another. They've all taken protector roles for people they care about.

Maybe Vic, upon leaving Haverhill, ends up somewhere she could meet Bo or the Buffy characters. Alternately, maybe Bo or Buffy, when they're running away, wind up in Haverhill. Angel could've been in New England instead of going to California, and maybe he hears about the girl who took care of this other undead guy--what if it's her he's pointed at helping instead of Buffy? Or Drusilla, having lost her family to death/ensoulment/chippedness, decided to take in another lonely girl and becomes drawn to Vic? Vic's the Slayer, or the other characters are Creatives, or they all have the same roles as in their respective canons and live in the same universe; I'm happy with whatever you choose. Or hey, how might a Creative's power to create dimensions and bring themselves or other people through them fit into Buffyverse/Lost Girl canon?

I’d be into a scenario in which one canon is in the other’s past, or one in which the universes are distantly related because something happened really far back to make them separate. Mostly I just love these characters and their complex relationships to their cultures and their sense of themselves. Ahsoka leaves the Jedi as an institution and doesn’t seem to feel she can call herself one, but she is one in how she has internalized her Jedi learning and how she chooses to live. Michael and Spock, being a human who is culturally Vulcan and a half Vulcan, respectively, struggle with feelings of inadequacy in being worthy of their culture, learn to reach out to people who are different from it and outside it, and still internalize it and respect it. Like they have these paths of understanding and honoring themselves and what informs them, and they are such extraordinary people. Also, the differences and similarities between Jedi and Vulcans are interesting, with the shared emphasis on restraint and attaining serenity, but the Jedi relying on intuition/feeling/the sense of their sense of Force, and the Vulcans relying on scientific inquiry.

I love them, and I'd be happy with anything, whether it be a crossover fusing parts of one universe into another, AU'ing one character into the other's universe, linking them through the various ways of canonical time/dimension traveling, or something else that comes to mind for you.

Note: I’d be happy with the Spock I requested being from any of his onscreen appearances, from the young one in Disco to the older one in AOS, and I’d be happy with Ahsoka from all her onscreen appearances as well.

Buffy and Spock share indulgence in banter, the struggle of feeling they have a dual nature, and that they both died and came back. Also, Buffy has been shown to connect with and love people who are reserved with a great deal of feeling, and be reserved herself even if it’s not always apparent, while Spock has a subtle warmth and loves people who are open and different from him. All of these characters can be very empathetic.

I love these characters, and I'd love anything, whether it's a crossover enabled through Star Trek having a canonical multiverse and time travel, through Buffy's canonical multiple dimensions and dimensional portals, through making it so one of the characters has existed in the other's setting the whole time, or something else that comes to mind for you. Spock is among a group of Vulcans that need to hide on Buffy's Earth for some reason! Maybe they came from their canon planet, or maybe Vulcan is now a dimension! Sunnydale is on a remote planet instead of being a small town! Buffy becomes a vampire and thus lives long enough to see Star Trek's future! Or maybe she's immortal because of the Slayer spell, with the same result. Someone travels backwards or forwards in time! You can go ahead and pretend the canon Star Trek mentions in Buffy don't exist, or apply to a different space canon--or you can keep them as-is if something fun happens to occur to you!

Note: I’d be happy with the Spock I requested being from any of his onscreen appearances, from the young one in Disco, the one on the original series and movies, and the older one in the AOS/reboot movies.

Thank you for writing for me! I wish you the best!
