Hi there! I am so happy you want to create for something here. Thank you!

Please think of this letter as a jumping off point if you want one; if you don't, feel free to fly into the unknown without it!

There's some old and new in the content, and I want it all just the same regardless of the length of babble in any given section.

All requests are for fic, both tricks and treats.

I've played mostly games which rely on reading text and clicking on text/making choices--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, Affairs of the Court, visual novels, dating sims, and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I'm open to receiving something different if the program is small and easily accessible. I use Windows 7 and Apple mobile devices.

- mpreg

- detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, watersports, scat, emetophilia

- noncon (unless requested/prompted)—dubcon is fine, rape (except where otherwise specified), a/b/o,bestiality, oviposition, monster sex, tentacle sex, flowery terms for body parts (love cave, love tunnel), sex without attraction, anal tearing, ass to mouth

- body horror, explicit torture, permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating

- rule 63’ing female characters

- bashing of characters or ships

- unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head)

- focus on requested characters in unrequested/unprompted ships, non-canon unrequested ships, unrequested/unprompted poly/open relationships

- stories where nobody really cares about the woman/women in the ship

- AUs which don't use canon settings (unless prompted/requested/in list of likes)

- ageplay/infantilization; unrequested/unprompted humiliation

- sexuality/gender headcanons

- coronavirus

- incest (unless prompted/requested), selfcest (unless prompted/requested)

- the concept of Anakin and Ahsoka as a father/daugher relationship, dead Ahsoka (unless it's older Force Ghost Ahsoka and/or Ahsoka and Anakin being Force Ghosts together), Jedi Order as evil/immoral (versus deeply flawed institution, which is good)

Buffyverse (TV)

Buffy Summers (Buffyverse)

Buffy! I love her angst and I love her humor. I love the way she desperately wants to talk to someone, someone who she's comfortable with, or whom she doesn't feel a need to protect from her pain, or just someone who's there when she can't take it anymore and breaks down a little before building herself back up. She's a problem-solver and a hero who looks for ways to get things done, brave and bold and empathetic, using the social skills she learned as a former mean girl for good. But she's also lonely and sometimes trapped in her own head. She also, despite not seeming to have academic inclinations, seemed to flourish in college when given a chance to be in interesting classes that challenged her to participate in discussions.

Play with that! Give her a chance to confide in someone, or snark, or both. Let her be angsty, or give her an adventure that's all fun on the emotional level. Give her someone who'll take care of her in the emotional sense, and/or someone she'll take care of in any sense.

For ships, I like her with Angel, Giles, Oz, Tara, Cordelia, Kendra, Willow, Anya, Kennedy, Vampire Willow, Drusilla, Darla, Harmony, and Maggie Walsh. Poly welcome. Crossovers with characters in other canons I requested for this exchange are good too.

Gen-wise, any combination is good, including crossovers with characters in other canons I requested in this exchange.

I didn't request these as separate characters, but feel free to also write me Wishverse Buffy, Buffy as a vampire, or Buffy as an immortal.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types

Ahsoka Tano (Clone Wars)

I love Ahsoka's determination, her conviction, and how she can re-examine her life in an instant to take decisions she feels are true to herself and her values. I love that she can leave the Jedi and still be one in truth, and how she struggles with that to the point where she can't call herself one anyway. She's loyal both to what she believes in and the people she loves, though her life makes that hard, and she's so resilient despite the many things which uproot her world over and over. And she's funny! And generous, and empathetic. Also, she knows Shyriwook, Chewbacca's language, which is not commonly understood across the galaxy, as well as understand the old language on the ruins of Malachor. So she's a bit of a language nerd! And a wandering soul. I love the tensions present in her story, between what she was raised to internalize, the galaxy, and her sense of self.

I'd like to see her having Xena-esque wandering adventures across space, or something from the time she was leading the Rebellion's spy network. She could be angsting, having fun, fighting, snarking, being a nerd, being mentored or being a mentor. Or all those things at once!

Ship-wise, I like her with pretty much anybody from The Clone Wars, Rebels, her novel, and live-action Star Wars. Including poly ships. (But not Baby Yoda, Yoda, Jar-Jar, Jabba, or Trench please.) Crossovers with characters in other fandom I requested for this exchange are good too.

For gen, any combination with pretty much anybody from The Clone Wars, Rebels, her novel, and live-action Star Wars. Crossovers with characters in other fandom I requested for this exchange are good too.

I didn't request these as separate characters, but feel free to write me Sith Ahsoka, Chosen One Ahsoka, and Ahsoka as an immortal.

Star Trek: The Original Series

Nyota Uhura (Taping Our Sloth)
Mirror Nyota Uhura (Taping Our Sloth)

I absolutely love Uhura as this cool, controlled lady who's also warm and lively; bold enough to flirt in public with the most reserved person around, even if they're a superior officer and acting captain at the time, while still being a consummate professional. She's confident and good at handling people, and I imagine that's part of her skill as a performer. I like that she takes command of a situation and makes it look effortless, whether it be danger or a social experience. She's excellent at her job, whether it's actual communications or something adjacent like fixing up the fancy science fiction tech needed for that. Her open delight over the tribbles is fun too.

For Mirror Uhura, we don't get to see much of her, but what we do see of the world she inhabits suggests she's got to be just as good at being cool-headed and taking charge of things as she is in the original universe. She got herself onto the bridge, while, it seems, dealing with disadvantage in having to deal with unwanted sexual advances. Is she as much of a musical nerd, or does she pursue some other art?

It would be fun to see her being empathetic and insightful, knowing when to push without crossing a boundary someone doesn't want crossed. I'd like to see her enjoying herself, whether it's through having adventures, taking a break to do something nice, enjoying her work, or both.

For Mirror Uhura, I'd love to see her forming alliances and negotiating the tricky universe she's in. Maybe interacting with someone who's simultaneously a friend and foe, or who's a foe, but one or both of them is aware they could a friend, or vice versa. As with the original Uhura, I'd like to see her have fun!

For ships, I like either of them with pretty much anybody in TOS--in that I include show, movies, and the animated series. Poly welcome. If you've watched Discovery, I would also be open to ships with characters from there, whether prime universe or mirror universe. Another thing I'd be open to is crossovers with AOS for Spock/Uhura/Uhura or Spock/Uhura/Spock/Uhura, in an exception to my self-cest DNW. Feel free to do crossovers with any the other canons/characters I have requested in this exchange.

Gen-wise, any combination is good too, including crossovers with TOS, AOS, and any of the other canons/characters I have requested in this exchange!

Star Trek: Discovery

Michael Burnham (ST: Disco)

I love what an iron woobie Michael is! She suffers so much, partly due to the tragedy in her backstory and her own flaws; I love how those interact. I love that she's so kind and generous, and how this has a dark side in her willingness to take on the weight of something as if it's all on her to bear. I love her humor, too, and her boldness both in taking action and in social interactions, and how these things coexist with her being completely awkward and unsure what she's doing--the time loop episode is one of my favorites with her fumbling at romance and then doing something so dramatic and swoonworthy by the end to resolve the plot. So coolly, too! She's just so cute. All that reserve, but also warmth, and the love and intensity underneath.

It'd be so fun to see her in a story playing off those things! Give her an adventure in which she's really good at what she does, or give her someone she can talk to, a dynamic in which she gets taken care of, someone she can be devoted to and who'll be devoted to her. Any or all of those things are good!

For ships, I like her with pretty much anyone in the show who's not a blood relative--incest with non-biological family is an exception to my incest DNW here--and in terms of wider Star Trek canon, with TOS Uhura, Kirk, and Bones. Poly welcome. If you're familiar with AOS, I would be into Michael/AOS!Spock/AOS!Uhura.

Gen-wise, any combination is good, including crossovers with TOS, AOS, and other canons/characters I have requested for this exchange!

Star Trek: Alternate Original Series

Nyota Uhura (AOS)

I love the boldness and drive Uhura has, the sheer confidence. She's so in her element both socially--her introductory scene at the bar shows this, with how comfortable she is around people--and professionally, as when she first takes over as the Enterprise's communications officer. She goes after what she wants, in multiple areas of her life. She's empathetic both in the way she offers comfort and in how she respects boundaries. She's direct, caring, tender, affectionate, and communicates her emotions.

I'd enjoy a story based on any or all of those qualities; show her pursuing a goal, or throwing her enthusiasm and intensity into something fun. Show her leading an away mission and learning things or easing diplomacy along, or having to kick ass. Or just being taken care of after a hard time, with cuddles and sex and conversation, or silence. Or her knowing just what to do take care of someone, or save a social situation. Maybe she's mentoring someone, or being mentored.

For ships, I like her with Spock and in poly expansions of that relationship. This includes with Spock Prime--in an exception to my self-cest DNW--and crossovers with other characters I have requested for this exchange.

Gen-wise, putting her with the crew, or Gaila, or Spock Prime, or the villains--anyone is good, including crossovers with TOS, AOS, and other canons/characters I have requested for this exchange!

NOS4A2 (TV 2019)

This is 100% going to include spoilers for all of season two!

Vic McQueen (NOS4A2 TV)

Oh gosh, Vic is the number one thing I love about her show. She tries so hard. She dreams big even though there's much to discourage her, and she tries to take care of people even through terrifying situations. Her face is so good. This is hard to articulate, but it really is. The control she tries to exert over herself, the composure she fights for when she's anxious, the way she exerts herself to at least look together because she thinks that's what has to be done. It broke my heart to see her struggle and get to the point of thinking she was so damaged she had to distance herself from her loved ones, and how her ability to risk herself for others took on a new dimension of accepting her life could be thrown away to kill Charlie because she wasn't good at living it right.

I'd love to see an exploration of that. Her drive and desire to help others, her internalized guilt, her how haunted she is. Her receiving support from what turns out to be a wonderful network in Lou and Maggie, maybe reconnecting with them, Wayne, and her mother after the events of the series. Her struggles with accepting it, too. Reconnecting with her art and her dreams, waking up to life and herself again. Moments of backstory from before the series began, or the timeskip between the seasons.

For ships, I like her with her canon love interests, and Maggie; for gen, any combo of characters is fine. Her relationships are complicated, all the more so because of the love in them, the trust and betrayals of trust, the fractures of Vic's life and the distance she puts between them even when she tries to keep them close.

I also like the thought of her with an adult Millie, if that growing up happened; there's an interesting tension in Millie having been her tormentor, a child who needed her help to leave her father's gruesomely gilded cage, and a child who became a lonely orphan who refused that help as a consequence of that choice.

I enjoy her and Charlie as a hateship with his one-sided attraction, his seeming to represent how horrible she thinks she is, the viscerality of when she beats him up in season two, the tension of him being self-destructively unable to let her go despite and because of his hatred, and the tension of her own attempts to put him in the past veering between self-destructive coping methods, like drinking and suicidal heroics, and the healthier openness and creativity at the end of the show. I get so "D:" and heartbroken at her belief that she's irreparably, unforgiveably ruined, and while he's not all of what caused that, he's part of it; then of course he reflects her thoughts back at her because he does believe she's ruined and that he's the best thing to happen to her even as he's killing her, and on his side she didn't cause his issues but her killing him even temporarily did move him towards self-destructive pursuit of hurting her. That neither of them really come back at first from their encounter at the end of season one, but in the end he's the one who is ruined because of his choices at every turn, and she's the one who gets another chance at life with the support of the loved ones she refuses to leave behind. All this to say, I like what the relationship does for the characters narratively, especially for Vic, and so while I enjoy it differently than I do her canon romances, I would enjoy this too. (As mentioned before, the attraction was one-sided on his part, so this would be an exception to my unrequited love DNW.)

I am open to a crossover, shippy or romantic, with Buffy from BTVS the show. Vic really gave me Buffy vibes, with her strength and her trauma and her trying so hard while blaming herself. And then the author of the book this was adapted from said he imagined her as a grown up Buffy; I don't need author validation but it did make me feel nice.

Partial exception to my "bleak/hopeless endings" DNW: I'm fine with Vic herself feeling hopeless, as long as I as a reader can assume she will get to her canon endpoint of seeing herself as having a chance at life. Canon-compliant character study/missing scenes fic that doesn’t make that ending impossible would not violate the DNW for me, since as a reader I would be bringing the canon context in my head.

Again, thank you so much, and Happy Halloween in advance!

ETA: Sorry, I completely forgot to add this note: if you want to use the songs from the Battle of the Bands tagset as inspiration, to participate in the community challenge, I am opting in to that. I didn't nominate anything, but it can be fun being introduced to songs through fandom, or to find out someone who already likes the same character/ship is inspired by a song you already enjoy. - September 24 2020
