Dear author,

Hi! It's LittleRaven on AO3.

Thank you so very much already! I'm so delighted at the prospect of you creating for me!

I hope you find this letter useful if you want it, and ignore it if you don't.

All the requests are for fanfic. I'd be happy with fic of any length! Everything I'm requesting makes me happy.

I love the concept of them getting into the kind of space adventures that would end up with them married. Whether it's intimacy forced by their circumstances or them choosing it while thinking it's okay, they have things in hand and maybe it would even be fun to pretend without actually doing anything, it's just a little attraction, but then it's not. With accidental soulbonds, how would this unexpected intimacy work with two people who were already at ease with each other, but had never crossed the line into something that would take that dynamic further? How would it make some things more complicated and other things easier? And oh, what if they have to go through some horrible ordeal for each other? I love the angst and hurt/comfort potential. For the time loop, I love the idea of them going through a whole process of getting to know each other better and getting into each other's lives more as they became the only two people in the world/universe/galaxy to keep repeating the same day, or week, or however long you want the loop to last before it starts again. (The time loop can start over with whatever you want: one of them says or does a thing, or one of them dies. Whatever! And you're definitely free to have one of them purposefully die to start the time loop again. You're also free to not do that; I just want it to be clear in case it would be something you wouldn't write unprompted.) I would also just love worldbuilding and fluff and angst related to courtship and marriage. We've seen a Vulcan wedding on the show, albeit an interrupted one. How would it go between a Vulcan and a human, and what would Nyota be bringing to the ceremony? How does courtship go, for that matter? I'd love to see one or both of them surprised but charmed and interested in how the other courts them.

If you'd like more thoughts on them as a ship, my Fandom 5k letter is here.

ETA: I've got a few tags which are not in my requests, but struck me, and I meant to add them as additional prompts earlier but chose in favor of having the letter up sooner. In case they strike you too:

Living Spouse Time Travels To Relive Their Wedding Day With Their Spouse Who Has Since Passed Away

Break my heart with cathartic bittersweetness! This is an exception to my no permanent death and no permanent death of a female character DNWs. Though you can make it a time travel fix-it, if you're inclined, or do something else a little further from the tag, like a time loop in which characters die to reset it (and for the record, I'm fine with characters choosing to die to reset it.) But a straightforward interpretation of this, if it works for you, would be good too. Lean on the bittersweet.

Got Engaged In One Lifetime/Timeline/Reality; Finally Married In Another

As with the other tag above, I enjoy the potential for bittersweetness, and it's kind of a counterpart tag in that we move from lack to fulfilling joy!

Mass Amnesia at Wedding Reception

This could totally happen in Star Trek somehow, and it'd be really fun whether the just married spouses are the only ones who remember—and thus have to work together to solve the problem when their friends and family are adrift (first problem to deal with as a married couple!)—or if they end up forgetting too and re-acquaint themselves with each other trying to work out what happened. Feel free to throw in whatever level of adventure and politics you enjoy: from "oops this was an accident" to "it was a ploy or a side-effect of a ploy to do this or that."

Getting married because you can't trust anyone else

I love the concept of them getting married in the mirrorverse! Binding yourself to someone else in an environment in which everyone is out for themselves, and has to be ready at all times to get killed. Intimacy with someone you can't wholly trust at first, whether or not you'd like to trust them, or perhaps with the one person you can trust, depending on what you want to go with. Is it an agreement between people who are into each other but are only allowing themselves to think in practical terms, for their own safety? Or do they trust each other beforehand, for whatever reason? If it's for practical reasons, what are they? To protect themselves from who: someone or something else, or each other? Or is the marriage impractical, so they try to keep it a secret? Maybe they go around being a team and no one thinks love is a factor—but it is, or it becomes one. There's so much potential for murder fluff or angst, or both. Like what would getting trapped in a fake perfect world be for them, showing them things they are not supposed to aspire to as people who want to stay alive and secure in their universe? As people who are likely to be reluctant and guarded about their hearts?

If you'd like more thoughts on them as a ship, my Fandom 5k letter is here.

Surprise Dimension Traveling Spouse

I love the mirror universe, and twin things! That little taste was so interesting, and more would just be great, especially in a shippy context. If they have a pleasant, respectful dynamic in the prime universe, how is it in the mirror universe, where things are much worse and yet Nyota can depend on his presence to at least keep people from making sexual advances on her while she's on duty? What would they learn about each other if one of them got switched? What if they all met, somehow, without having to switch; would the prime universe characters inspire their counterparts to expand how they think about themselves and each other, and would they find themselves challenged by how similar these very different people are? I'd love feelings about identity and how they find connections with themselves and also their spouses, and what their boundaries are when there's another self out there who's not the same. Angst and hurt/comfort and love, complicated but there.

I love these two, and I'd love a variety of things! What do courtship and wedding traditions look like when you have two people from different species and cultures, and also one of them lost most of his species and the material evidence of their culture? How to navigate the importance of that? Just a slice of life thing with them would be fun, whether it's them dealing with those concerns or having a nice time, or both simultaenously. With all that goes on, do they finally get married on the eve of some adventure, or even during it, because they're each other's constants and want to continue to be that even if things around them are unstable and changing? Or maybe it happens by accident, through a soulbond they thought about but didn't actually initiate yet, and it happening brings them to think about things and deepen their relationship, or realize how deep it already is? Maybe they're trying to figure things out; being trapped in a time loop can only help. (The time loop can start over with whatever you want: one of them says or does a thing, or one of them dies. Whatever! And you're definitely free to have one of them purposefully die to start the time loop again. You're also free to not do that; I just want it to be clear in case it would be something you wouldn't write unprompted.) Or maybe they get a nice, quiet marriage after the five-year mission on the Enterprise is done, and set off on their new life path together. Or give me them just getting engaged without telling anyone, just like they were together without people actually knowing at first, and they live in their own little world within that of the Enterprise; not necessarily because they're trying to hide, but because they don't need to talk about it and nobody asked. Maybe show people finding out, or don't, as you prefer. Alternately, they're already married and just having a nice married life, kicking ass literally or figuratively, and doing nice things for each other.

Since this is AOS, you could also stray from the tag by adapting it as the original Spock watching the new timeline's version of himself get married, whether you interpret it as an AU in which he also married Nyota in his own timeline, or that he did so offscreen after the events of the original movies.

The way these guys cared so much, were moved so deeply by each other, and have a complicated relationship that influenced them deeply despite them not really talking or getting along for what seems to have been a long time, is so good. I'd love to see an accidental marriage that makes them confront those feelings sooner, or makes them work out their feelings a different way than they did in canon. Awkwardness is welcome, as well as feelings about it being incestuous. How is that they end up just going "ok pretending to be married is the most logical solution to this situation" and then surprise consummation? Or Sarek wanting his son to learn empathy from having a human sibling leads them to enter this betrothal and marriage they don't want at first, but settle into, and then oh no there are feelings—for this prompt, you can lean into the incest or go with "no the way they lived with and feel about this betrothal and marriage is different"—and maybe things happen as they do in canon, with their rift and reunion, or maybe they don't. Or maybe Michael ends up getting pulled into the past and their relationship just takes a different track, but she still remembers the original one. Angst and fluff and tenderness and fighting all welcome.

The way the AOS ship we saw develop maps onto the TOS ship that we didn't see followed through is so fascinating to me. The TOS ship is a background attraction, rarely highlighted by the show, and then the AOS ship is often in the background, but in a way that is highlighted all throughout, and we get to know more of them, to be let into their own little world even as they interact with the wider one. We never really get to see the original Spock react to them or vice versa; I'd love to see that scenario, only with the original Nyota added in as well. Do time shenanigans make her come over sometime when she's older, but before she dies, at around the same time as the present day storyline of the movies, and then she and Spock get to watch their relationship happen for the first time? Or again, if they were together offscreen? Or you could do a switch, with one of the AOS characters and their young TOS counterpart—and does that mean the original Spock gets messed with, or is this yet another change that sprouts a new timeline? Or you have the five of them, both couples and an older Spock. All of these options are so interesting to me! As with the TOS request for the prime and mirrorverse ships, I'd love feelings about identity and how they find connections with themselves and also their spouses, and what their boundaries are when there's another self out there who's not the same. Angst and hurt/comfort and love, complicated but there. Humor is welcome too!

So we have two people who love each other but have a very complicated, fraught relationship, two people who are attracted and seem to be easy with each other but don't take a step into a romantic relationship that we see, and two people who never met but could be really fun together. I really like the idea of Michael and Nyota just charming each other, whether we're at a point where Spock is angsty about Michael and therefore feels a little weird about his charming friend being into her, or at a point where he likes it, or both. What kind of relationship would the build together? I enjoy the thought of Nyota helping to bring peace between them, and them wanting to take care of her and agreeing on that even if they're fighting about something. Together they navigate an accidental marriage! With the "Accidentally Included Unwitting Third Party In Marriage" above, I am good with the third party being any of them, and with the marriage between whoever the first two are also being accidental or on purpose, whichever you like. And Michael getting sucked back into the past for whatever reason leading to marriage would be a fun adventure! And all the human+half-human Vulcan+human raised as a Vulcan feelings that could lead them to carve out their own space and life with each other.

Again, thank you so much, and I wish you a good exchange experience!

ETA on June 16: When I unlocked the letter two weeks ago, it was finished as regards to my requests, but I did have a few tags I wanted to put in as additional prompts for the TOS, AOS, and TOS/AOS crossover sections. Since the letter was complete without them, I chose to reveal it rather than keep you waiting, creator. Feel free to ignore the new tags and prompts! They're only there in case you wish to see more things for brainstorming/prompting purposes.
