Dear Creator,

LittleRaven on AO3 here. Thank you so very much! I'm so excited for this exchange already; I can't wait to see what you'll do! If you would like thoughts and prompts, hopefully this letter will be of use to you; feel free to disregard it if you don't find it helpful! I've tried to prompt for a variety of the freeform tags I chose; please know that I want them all equally, like burning, regardless of my ability to ramble about any given tag, and that the same goes for my fandoms and ships. I want them so much.

General:
any art style, rough sketches and clean line art both, color and composition to set mood, comics, scenery, single and group character poses, cute or actiony or romantic or moody or creepy, character expressions, body language, art of characters as tarot cards

Poses:
non-explicit poses like characters kissing (on the mouth, the temple, the top of the head, hands, the cheek, etc), holding hands, hugging, carrying each other (princess carry, fireman, piggyback, shoulder rides), and pressing their foreheads together, petting their faces/hair, arms around shoulders/waists

IF Likes

I rarely write about IF, so I hope this is helpful! I've played mostly games which rely on reading text and clicking on text/making choices--for example, like Alabaster, The Book of Guenevere, visual novels, dating sims, and paper books where you turn to a page for every choice--but I'm open to receiving something different if the program is small and easily accessible. I use Windows 7 and Apple mobile devices.

I would be super into scifi linguistics! I don't have any acadamic training beyond a few undergrad classes, but I like hearing and reading about this field, so if you're into that, feel free to embrace it for this request! Papers, notes taken during class, notes taken about her performance, note she takes as an aide—anything!

I'd also be super into letters, or the Trek equivalent of same, Nyota sends home from Starfleet Academy, or from the Enterprise. Or any correspondence she might have had with her Spock, or with the original Spock; they never really get to meet onscreen, but it must have been interesting for them, and for her Spock. How would their relationships with each other develop?

Another thing which would be cool is to see, given the kind of spectacular stuff the Enterprise crew gets up to, how an interview might go--or not go, or be cut short. Relatedly, what kind of stories do people tell about them? What gossip leads to RPF, and how would someone fictionalize their adventures!

Another optional thing, just in case you would like it: my Fandom 5k letter, which is the most recent one in which I talk about Spock and Uhura as a ship.

I would be super into scifi linguistics! I don't have any acadamic training beyond a few undergrad classes, but I like hearing and reading about this field, so if you're into that, feel free to embrace it for this request! Also, given how the mirror universe seems more xenophobic and into domination of other cultures, how might this be reflected in the field, and in Nyota's profession?

Nyota is a singer, performer, dancer, and an all-around music nerd who likes learning. I'd love to see what you think is in her collection, what you think she listens to the most at any given time, what music you think influences inspires her or that she'd like to learn more from. For a combination of her and Spock, what music to do you think they like to show each other, and share and play together?

There's so much that happens to this crew; do they ever get caught in an interview? How does that go, if it goes? Relatedly, how do they go down in history? What kinds of things are written about them, and how well-researched are they? How's the gossip? And I'd love to hear about how their lives could be fictionalized. For the mirror universe, I'd love to know what the history is and what the characters think of it; it seems very human-centric, but there's still a half-Vulcan in a high rank, so what's that like? What's the history behind it, exactly? What happens after the episode ends—tell me a bit of the history of the changes that were made, or not made, how much and how little was affected by it.

Does Nyota ever write a book about her life? I'd love her recounting of something that happened in one of the episodes, whether something we saw her go through or, if we didn't see her, about what she was doing when it happened, or her interactions with the people who had to deal with the goings-on more directly.

How about a script or a screenplay for a missing scene, like their music lessons/concerts, or Nyota getting to be captain?

I'd also be super into letters, or the Trek equivalent of same, Nyota sends home from Starfleet Academy, or from the Enterprise. Or any correspondence she has with Spock, say after they're no longer on the Enterprise together?

What exactly gets written about Nyota in her performance review? It seems like Spock never pokes at her ability to do her job at any point, and he looks like he's all right with her teasing him, even when it happens on the job.

More optional things, just in case you would like them: my Little Black Dress letter, in which I talk about Nyota as a character, and my Fandom5k letter, which is the most recent one in which I talk about Spock/Uhura and their mirror counterparts as ships.

The kids would need a lot of therapy, between what happened to Michael's original parents and the attacks on their family on Vulcan, which both of them think are due to their existence as the adopted human and the half-human who aren't wholly welcomed by their home planet. What we see of Vulcan, though, is that while they can connect to another person's mind and feelings in a way others can't, they also teach emotional control in a way that isn't necessarily functional for everyone, at least not the way it comes out with Michael and Spock and their parents. What kind of therapy would they have, if any? What kind of therapy, if any, would they get in Starfleet?

I have no training in anthropology but I would love some scifi anthropology. If you want to get into it, please do! It would be fun to read. Also, Amanda worked on the universal translator, I believe—it could be interesting to connect that to anthropology and Michael's work in the field somehow; maybe her expertise comes into play at some point?

We know the family relationship is a little strained, but they seem to get along; how about correspondence between Michael and Amanda? Alternately, maybe Amanda encouraged Michael to write letters to her dead mother, though they could never be sent. Or, show me the times Michael tried to reach out to Spock after everything that happened and it didn't work. Or her and Ash starting to work out their relationship and who they are to each other after season one.

People have definitely told stories about what happened Michael. What are they? What are the different versions, and what bits of gossip are people's favorite, that leads to RPF and radio/podcast discussion or a play? After she's mutineed? After her reputation is restored? After her apparent death and Starfleet's attempt to erase what happened with Discovery? What, exactly, goes down in the history books, and how do those change as time goes on?

More optional things, just in case you would like them: my Little Black Dress letter, in which I talk about Michael as a character, and my Fandom5k letter, which is the most recent one in which I talk about Michael and Spock as a gen relationship.

A grab bag of crossovers! Some mysterious figure pops into the Star Trek universe—well, that's pretty normal, actually. What gets spread about the adventures people have with them? Or they pop into the world of the other, whether through an alternate dimension thing or time travel. What kinds of conspiracy theories would pop up in, say, Sunnydale? Does a crossover adventure turn into what later Earth scholars consider an obscure folktale about the Hellmouth, which only someone involved might recognize as true? What kind of interviews would the characters be subjected to? How would they report what had happened?

I feel like it's super-interesting how the Jedi religion and the Vulcan logic seem to share some similarities, in how they value emotional control and peace, and use meditation, and how there's a degree of empathetic power in how Jedi use the Force to sense emotions, while Vulcans have touch telepathy. They're both into meditation too! And yet they're different, in how Jedi say things like "trust in your feelings" or "trust in the Force," which seems more intuitive and faith-based, and they end up warriors, while Vulcans are pacifists who go for the logical and scientific approach. What kinds of things might a Jedi—or former Jedi—and a Vulcan have to say to each other, or about each other? In letters, or notes. Or maybe they get researched for a documentary that attempts to approach their similarities and differences.

Evelyn Carnahan has so many adventures she can't properly tell the world about. What about that time she met a hot time-traveling linguist from the future, or went into the future herself? She can only tell her journal, along with notes on what she learned from the experience. Or she writes something like a folktale about it, just for herself. Alternately, Nyota writes about her experiences with the attractive librarian/adventuress from the past. Or, if you want them to be contemporaries, they could travel the world/galaxy together and share their research while falling in love!

For the intra-Star Trek crossovers, it would be interesting for Michael to meet a Spock who was never her brother, as it was interesting for her to meet a Sarek who was never her father. Especially with Sarek apparently being part of a resistance while Spock himself seems to have achieved something of a rank within the empire, as first officer on Enterprise. Hey, if Michael somehow travels back in time but into the wrong universe, how would it work out, with the backstory of her already having met Sarek and helped to bring down a previous emperor? Maybe a script or scene excerpt from that hypothetical episode of Discovery? Or Michael winds up being part of galactic events there again and there are documentaries or podcast equivalents talking about that.

Or she pops back up in the past of her own timeline instead, during the original series era, and they try to keep her a secret, according to the things decided at the end of Discovery season two, but there are conspiracy theories about her return anyway.

Nyota meets Spock earlier than she does in canon, or Michael, or both, and it triggers a quicker reconciliation for Michael and Spock, while also leading them into an unexpected triad—told through their correspondence.

What if, through some weird shenanigans, both the original and the reboot versions of Spock and Uhura got to meet? Somehow, Nyota gets over there instead of simply dying, and they're all together in the same spot. Does seeing an alternate universe version of themselves catalyze the original Spock and Nyota into trying out a relationship themselves, just to see what happens and give themselves a new start for the new universe they're going to live the rest of their lives in? Or maybe, if original Nyota winds up trapped in the same spot as original Spock, they get together on their own before that and then it's just amusing when they see their other selves having done it at a much younger age. Do they experiment with all of them getting together? What would these characters all have to say to each other? Told through correspondence as they figure themselves, and each other, out.

More optional things, just in case you would like them: my Fandom 5k letter, which is the most recent one in which I talk about Michael and Spock as a gen relationship, and about Spock with Buffy and Ahsoka.

Again, thank you so much, and I wish you a pleasant exchange experience!
