Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me.

I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.

Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs.

Here are some more things I enjoy: fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open/ambiguous endings, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance—these fandoms do have a high drama quotient, psychological horror, cunnilingus, messy and complicated dynamics, blurring between obligation/need and love, fear/horror/anger mixed with desire/love, politics, isolation, competitiveness, competitive smut, limited agency, legacy, manipulation, scheming, ulterior motives for sex, Force bonds, Force shenanigans, Force Ghosts, time travel, weird worlds/dimensions, time moves differently, scars, suspense, undercover, undercover as a couple, mission fic, teaching games, compromised sense of self, interpersonal tension, duty versus desire, love/hate, possessiveness, insecurity, secret relationships, secrets, the divine as sex, using the Force for sex, choking, breathplay, bloodplay, biting, scratching, Ahsoka’s fangs, growling, blindfolding, chains, trust issues, implicit trust, emotional intimacy, casual displays of affection, shared beds, snuggling, sitting/lying in laps, jumping people, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of the man/men’s characterization, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of each other’s characterization, characters gathering each other’s backstory a little at a time, investigating each other, spying, sex and violence paired together, fucking in the same room as your enemies’ corpse, body heat sharing, loneliness, connecting to the force together, mutual pining, dreams, fix-it, parallel universes, parallel universe characters, us against the world, outside pov, story/fragments of story as told in-universe, ghosts, ghost sex, feeling each others sensations during sex, IF/interactive fiction, poetry, rough sex, rough kissing, lap sex, sex on furniture, sex against walls, rough kissing, lap sex, sex on furniture, sex against walls, slow sex, quick sex, gentle sex, neck kissing, kissing tears, kissing hands (back of or palm), nuzzling, afterglow cuddles, underwater sex, sexy baths, sexy showers, desperate sex

Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

I really love these two, how they mirror each other and go such down different paths, how first Anakin tries to hold onto Ahsoka and then Ahsoka tries to hold onto him, the tragedy of their failure to manage it and living with that. I’d love something sweet during any time period; what about one of the times he’s sharing his mechanical knowledge—which he got from his mother—with her? I like to think it’s his way of meditation, and that it’s how he trains her with regard to that aspect of Jedi life. Or what about after a battle, when they both need to talk or just be together? I really liked the point in her novel where she’s thinking about how he used to take care of her after battles, help her deal with the mental toll of the war. I love their banter and their pleasure in dangerous situations, so maybe a moment building on that. Or something leaning on the near-telepathic abilities the Force gives them, with regard to being able to sense each others' feelings--they might sense something and pursue the matter, or get distracted and lose control of their own feelings. Not to mention, the Force gives them more stamina, so they could last awhile. Maybe they could celebrate a victory, or just let out their mischievous/competitive side during sex/something romantic. Or they could have any of the conversations they might otherwise engage in, except during sex/something romantic. Or they could be fixing his prosthesis! How about an AU where one or both of them was never found by the Jedi: Anakin remains a slave, Ahsoka was successfully captured as a toddler and sold by the bounty hunter (I love that bit of her backstory for the what-if of how she nearly had another thing in common with Anakin), so they run into each other under those circumstances; only one of them goes through what’s described above, until they’re found by the Sith, while the other remains a Jedi. Or maybe he tries to reach her after he’s gone back to the Light Side; what do they say, and how do they begin to move on? Does she know it, with the mystical transformation she seems to have undergone by then? Or what if he actually survived—they thought their time to live was over, and now they have to deal with living in a galaxy they never expected, together. I’d also love a Regency AU (set in space or somewhere more historical) akin to Sorcerer of the Crown by Zen Cho, with Anakin in this unstable position in society due to his origins and Ahsoka, also with a less than respectable background, swooping into his life with all her confidence and talent. Or a fairytale AU! Some fairytales I can think of that might be relevant to this pairing are “The Snow Queen” and “East of the Sun, West of the Moon.”

The Daughter | Winged Goddess/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

The transfusion of life from The Daughter could be fun to play with. Maybe Ahsoka becomes immortal. Maybe she has to outlive everyone she ever comes to know, and not just because they all got killed in the various wars going on. Or she ascends into godhood the more enlightened she becomes, with her own power and experience melded with The Daughter’s, and there comes to be a temple with her image somewhere. What if she sees her in dreams? Maybe The Daughter becomes another teacher to her alongside Anakin. Or she watches her, always connected, but Ahsoka isn’t wholly aware of it until later—maybe in Malachor, when she seems to stop participating in worldly matters and instead delve into the mystical side of the Force more deeply.

Ahsoka Tano/Asajj Ventress (Star Wars: The Clone Wars), Ahsoka Tano & Asajj Ventress (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

They start out in one place and end up in quite another, betrayed and eventually losing all their kind to the war and the Sith. They both turn to the underworld to cope: Ahsoka goes a little more criminal as a smuggler, even if she still does good deeds, and Asajj is willing to show mercy instead of just ruthlessly going after the money as a bounty hunter. I love how Asajj sees herself in Ahsoka, despite their former status as enemies, and Ahsoka being willing to plead her case. Their partnership is one of convenience, but they’re open to the idea that there’s more going on with the other than they thought. What if for some reason Ahsoka did stay with the Jedi, at least long enough to try to help Asajj out with them, or one of them sought the other out after she left? Maybe they run into each other on separate missions, or team up for one, and it leads to more reevaluation of where they stand? I could see Asajj occasionally helping Ahsoka out when it comes to protecting children from the Sith.

Chewbacca & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: The Clone Wars)

It was very fun to see them team up briefly, and it leaves me wondering about potential future meetings. Did Ahsoka meet Chewbacca’s family when they came to pick him up after the events of their kidnapping? What if they were pen pals during the war? Maybe she makes time for an old friend in between when she returns from Malachor and when she leaves to find Ezra, or an AU in which Ahsoka was active in the Rebellion long enough to meet Chewbacca again when he joined up with Han, or where she returns from the Unknown Regions during the sequel trilogy and they have a quiet moment in the middle of all the war.

Ahsoka Tano/Darth Vader (Star Wars: Rebels), Ahsoka Tano & Darth Vader (Star Wars: Rebels)

Fic

I really love these two, how they mirror each other and go such down different paths, how first Anakin tries to hold onto Ahsoka and then Ahsoka tries to hold onto him, the tragedy of their failure to manage it and living with that. It seems to me that trying to kill Ahsoka was not in Vader’s plan—he’d wanted her alive before, and he had opportunities he didn’t take—so what would he do if he ever did find out she survived him? Especially if she never came out to try and find him. Does he try to keep her a secret? Keep on going in the face of her not coming back? Or maybe he tries to reach her after he’s gone back to the Light Side; what do they say, and how do they begin to move on? Does she know it, with the mystical transformation she seems to have undergone by then? Or what if he actually survived—they thought their time to live was over, and now they have to deal with living in a galaxy they never expected, together. Is he exiled or hidden in some distant world, or even in the Unknown Regions, and does she go with him or does she find him? Or a fairytale AU! Some fairytales I can think of that might be relevant to this pairing are “The Snow Queen” and “East of the Sun, West of the Moon.” I can also see a bit of a Hades/Persephone element.

Yvaine (Stardust 2007)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

Yvaine watches the world, and is not part of it; Ahsoka is part of it, but meant more to help here and there as a Jedi than to take a role in galactic affairs. They both love adventure and action, even if Yvaine has never known it before falling from the sky. They’re both wanderers, and mystical beings of a sort: Yvaine the star, Ahsoka what’s left of the Daughter, the embodiment of light. If you go with the book version of Stardust, they can never be among their kind again, and they continue after the people they love most are gone; there’s a breath of loneliness to them.

What if Stormhold is a planet, and Ahsoka comes to consult—and to grieve—with its ruler? Or maybe she just comes to investigate some strangeness associated with it. Or Ahsoka is an immortal being, coming to join the land of Faerie after the long ago events of her life, and meets Yvaine on an adventure there? Maybe Ahsoka is pulled in during her travels, or instead of going back to Malachor from the World Between Worlds? What if, when Ahsoka died on Mortis, she spent the moments she was dead somewhere else, with time working differently there?

Valkyrie (MCU)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

Both disillusioned, both choosing different paths—or one took a longer time to get back on theirs, depending on where you take Valkyrie from. Maybe they’re both lost and meet each other in a bar, Valkyrie having left Asgard and Ahsoka having left the Jedi/being on the run from the Empire. Maybe Ahsoka needs to find a place to lie low, and Sakaar provides, but not without its own troubles. Or Valkyrie and the Asgardians’ escape from Thanos leads them into the Unknown Regions, where Ahsoka is on her quest. What if the Asgardian empire is still conquering, and Valkyrie is still serving its throne? Are they at war with the Republic, or is Ahsoka a Rebel agent?

Amalthea (The Last Unicorn Movie)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

This came about because Amalthea being a Unicorn forced into a mortal body and Ahsoka having the avatar of the Light Side put into her make them a potentially interesting pair. That and how they both experience being the last of their kind, what it’s like to have to change in the face of that, the refusal to let it be true in their search for others. They also both exist somewhere in-between two categories of being: the Unicorn after Amalthea knows love and regret, Ahsoka throughout her life knows and accepts her attachments even as she lets them go.

They’re both beautiful, wise, mystical beings touched by ordinary life and yet living apart from it. I’d love anything that works with that.

Maybe the Unicorn’s forest is a whole planet, or some sacred untouched place far from the center of the galaxy. Maybe Ahsoka is pulled in during her travels, or instead of going back to Malachor from the World Between Worlds? Or you could AU Ahsoka into the setting, have her be a wandering knight and mystic the Unicorn or Amalthea meets on her travels. What if, when Ahsoka died on Mortis, she spent the moments she was dead somewhere else, with time working differently there?

Michael Burnham (Star Trek: Discovery)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

They’ve been raised to be calm and dispassionate, controlled, but with very different backgrounds. They both have a passion that can lead them into doing something ill-advised, but they’re also idealistic and do their best to live up to their own values. In a universe in which both the Jedi and Starfleet exist, how might people with different yet similar philosophical backgrounds relate? What if Ahsoka comes to their side of space while on her quest for Ezra? Or maybe she walks out of her dimension via Malachor and into Star Trek’s.

Dream of the Endless | Morpheus (Sandman)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

What with Ahsoka’s ties to mystical beings, this seemed an interesting ship. Dream’s the embodiment of dream, and Ahsoka has absorbed the essence of the embodiment of light. Maybe Ahsoka’s resurrection is a sort of rebirth, and she becomes something of a mystical creature herself. Or maybe her further explorations of the Force lead her to meeting Dream. Perhaps both.

Death of the Endless (Sandman)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

As with the ship with Dream above, it’s interesting to think of Ahsoka’s connections to the mystical. She’s died and lived again, and then that same event led to her escaping death at the hands of the person who’d intially saved her. What does Death think about this, and what kind of conversations might they have? Would Ahsoka delving into mysteries of the Force let her talk to Death again?

Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

They’re both so resilient and brave and snarky. They are both lost to themselves and to the world sometimes, but they persist in living and eventually finding meaning and purpose in their fight again. They’re unconventional and independent and caring and that’s what saves them, and what makes them good leaders who inspire others and connect to them in terrible circumstances. Fuse their universes, have one of them visit the other in a dream—they’re both psychic that way—or have some portal shenanigans with the Force/Hellmouth. Maybe one of them is stuck in a temple via cryogenics or a spell and the other finds them in the ruins. Or, they run into each other when Buffy’s in that trap that turns homeless Earth people into slave labor; maybe in this case it’s actually something like the hunting game Ahsoka got caught in during The Clone Wars, and this time they’re trapped together! Escaping and bonding ensues.

Legolas Greenleaf (Jackson Movies)/Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

My early 2000s ship! Buffy loves her pretty immortals, and she’s got a life to live after Sunnydale goes down, so why not? Legolas is open-minded. Maybe it turns out that life isn’t on modern Earth anymore, or she gets recruited to solve other worlds’ problems. Or maybe the heaven she went to when she was dead is Valinor, which Legolas had long since reached, and he goes back to try to find her after she’s taken out of it. What if the immortal Buffy’s dating in Rome isn’t the one Angel and Spike were thinking of? Or they’re both reincarnations on Earth, only Buffy was reincarnated as a human, and she dreams of their past life?

Imhotep (The Mummy)/Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)

These two fun horror canons would go well together. And the characters! Imhotep the tragic lover, and the perpetually recurring villain about to end the world. Buffy the brave heroine, and recurring lover of demons with sad backstories who’ve tried to end the world. Maybe someone tries to bring him back, again, and Buffy’s on the trail, but it turns out he doesn’t want to come back. She can empathize. Or maybe her death in “The Gift” really did send her to hell, body and all, they meet, and he accompanies her out once her friends do their thing. What if he were brought back and, due to his low spirits, he’s just been around the world not doing anything particularly evil, and then post-Sunnydale Buffy meets him while tracking down some artifact?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV)

Darla/Buffy Summers (BtVS), Drusilla/Buffy Summers (BtVS), Angel/Buffy Summers

Fic

Darla/Buffy Summers (BtVS)

This is something I’d have loved to see more of in the show. They both captivated and kickstarted Angel into a new life, they both, in a way, killed him. Darla pretends to be Buffy’s student friend; what if she’d done more with that? What if she’d developed an interest in figuring out what made Buffy dangerous to them? Maybe Buffy gets a chance to investigate her in return, and develops a fascination, and/or dreams of her. Or what if she’d survived—if she’d ended up being chipped by the Initiative instead of Spike—it’d be fun to see her trying to play both sides, and Buffy reconciling her issues with her with the fact that she’s, in one way at least, helpless? Maybe she’s around in season six and sees potential in Buffy’s depressive state. Alternatively, Darla’s plans after becoming a vampire again involve handling Buffy so that she can’t be a threat again—except it goes differently than killing her. If inspiration strikes, feel free to use Drusilla with these prompts as well, or combine any of these with the Drusilla/Buffy prompts below.

Drusilla/Buffy Summers (BtVS)

These two get paralleled quite a bit! Both fixations of Angel, both psychic and isolated from society in their power. Buffy dreams of Drusilla around Angel, and Drusilla sees her around Spike. Drusilla is delighted at the thought that Angel will to do Buffy what he did to her—and I understood that to be both breaking and turning her. What if she’d played a more active role in bringing that about? Does she want a new pet? Or perhaps later, when she and Darla are trying to get Angel, then Spike back; maybe this time she wants to get Buffy too, finds it fitting after Buffy had so much to do with what happened to the other vampires in her family. On Buffy’s side, she’s disturbed to hear what Angel did to Drusilla—she must think of it afterwards when he’s torturing her. What’s going through her mind then? Does she dream of Drusilla, past and present—and possibly future? What if Drusilla came back when Buffy was hitting her lows in season six? If inspiration strikes, feel free to add Darla to these prompts, or combine them with the Darla/Buffy prompts above.

Angel/Buffy Summers

I love these two and how much they mean to each other, from the early seasons to the last. I enjoy all the scenes when they’re taking care of each other, whether it’s Buffy trying to nurse Angel back to health and sanity or Angel helping Buffy through a difficult moment. I’d be happy with some cuddling in her room or the mansion in the early seasons, a quick visit during the later seasons, the classic “what happened when they met in early BTVS season six/ATS season three” story, a bittersweet moment where one needs the other’s help on a mission during the years they spend apart, or a happy ending after all. Or maybe what happens in a Wishverse where Buffy and Angel survive the fight at the Bronze, or don’t go at all—what if Angel hadn’t gone to wait for her in Sunnydale, but had followed her to Cleveland? In both universes, they’re lonely souls stuck in-between worlds; how does their relationship work out with a Buffy who’s a little more jaded?

Once again, thank you so much, and I hope you have a good exchange experience!
