Dear Worldbuilder,

Thank you so much for writing for me! I’m looking forward to it already. Please know that I wrote this letter in case you’d like extra detail. It’s just that: extra. You don’t need to use my prompts; I’ll be so happy for what you make of my requests.

Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me.

I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.

Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs.

Here are some more things I enjoy: fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open/ambiguous endings, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance—these fandoms do have a high drama quotient, psychological horror, cunnilingus, messy and complicated dynamics, blurring between obligation/need and love, fear/horror/anger mixed with desire/love, politics, isolation, competitiveness, competitive smut, limited agency, legacy, manipulation, scheming, ulterior motives for sex, Force bonds, Force shenanigans, Force Ghosts, time travel, weird worlds/dimensions, time moves differently, scars, suspense, undercover, undercover as a couple, mission fic, teaching games, compromised sense of self, interpersonal tension, duty versus desire, love/hate, possessiveness, insecurity, secret relationships, secrets, the divine as sex, using the Force for sex, choking, breathplay, bloodplay, biting, scratching, Ahsoka’s fangs, growling, blindfolding, chains, trust issues, implicit trust, emotional intimacy, casual displays of affection, shared beds, snuggling, sitting/lying in laps, jumping people, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of the man/men’s characterization, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of each other’s characterization, characters gathering each other’s backstory a little at a time, investigating each other, spying, sex and violence paired together, fucking in the same room as your enemies’ corpse, body heat sharing, loneliness, connecting to the force together mutual pining, dreams, fix-it, parallel universes, parallel universe characters, us against the world, outside pov, story/fragments of story as told in-universe, ghosts, ghost sex, feeling each others sensations during sex, IF/interactive fiction, poetry

DNWs:

permanently dead female characters (where she’s not even a ghost), the concept of Anakin and Ahsoka as a father/daugher relationship, mpreg, detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, watersports, scat, emetophilia, noncon (except if requested/prompted)—dubcon is fine, rape (except where specified below), a/b/o, rule 63’ing female characters, body horror, explicit torture, permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating, bashing of characters or ships, unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head), unrequested/unprompted ships (though mentions are okay), stories where nobody really cares about the woman/women in the ship, m/m outside of m/m/f ships, focus only on m/m interactions, a story where the f/f or m/f is secondary to the m/m, AUs which don't use canon settings, underage (17+ is fine, whether you change canon ages or set things when the characters would be 17+), ageplay/infantilization, humiliation (except if requested/prompted), bestiality, Jedi Order as evil/immoral (versus deeply flawed institution, which is is good), oviposition, monster sex, tentacle sex

Caveat: Referencing something in that list which happened in canon is all right. I’d just rather not it be a main feature in the story.

Star Wars - New EU

WB: Togruta history/politics/language/culture/worlds (SW New EU), WB: Relations between the Togruta and the Zygerrians (SW New EU), Ahsoka Tano (SW New EU), Miraj Scintel (SW New EU), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

I’d have loved to learn more about the Togruta. From the tidbits of Ahsoka’s backstory in her book, it seems they’re big on community. They were also fine with the Jedi taking her away. What was it like for her as a child? Or later; does she ever come back, aside from the adventure with the Zygerrians? She seems to wear a headress, like Shaak Ti. It seems like Jedi are allowed to express identification with their cultures of origin. How does that manifest for Ahsoka?

What was it like for Togrutas, being aliens under the xenophobic Empire?

Given that the Togruta are the ones targeted during the Zygerrians’ bid to become an empire again, and how Miraj seems to have a pet convor from Kiros, a Togruta world; how did these species and their cultures relate before? Or after the events of the show? In an alternate universe where the empire didn’t end, would there be strained relations between the worlds? What if the Togrutans were exempt somehow? What if this involved an arranged marriage between Ahsoka and Miraj?

WB: Living in the Shadow of the Empire (SW New EU), WB: Separatists & the Rebel Alliance (SW New EU), WB: The building and running of Rebellion intelligence networks (SW New EU), Ahsoka Tano (SW New EU), Cassian Andor (SW New EU), Bail Organa (SW New EU), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

I’d like to learn exactly how Ahsoka shaped Bail’s intelligence-gathering into something centralized and more useful. The first Fulcrum! How did she and Bail manage! What records are kept of the early leadership of the Rebellion, considering the hush-hush nature of the whole affair at first?

I’d also like to know how she used that intelligence-gathering to help protect Force-sensitive children from the Empire, given that it’s what she wanted from Bail in return for her joining him.

Given how the Republic turned out to be the Empire with a dramatic mask reveal, and how this meant both supporters of the Republic and the Separatists were thrown together in opposition to it...I’d love more on how that worked. Ahsoka and Cassian both joined the war when they were children, but from very different perspectives: Cassian a six-year old, Ahsoka a military commander at fourteen; Cassian with unwavering purpose for the sake of freedom, Ahsoka having a rude awakening concerning the workings of the Republic and needing to find her sense of purpose again in order to fight the Empire. Cassian is one of Ahsoka’s successors as a Fulcrum. How do they work under Bail? What troubles does Bail have trying to be a leader to these disparate people, especially since it seems the Rebellion leaders tended to be former supporters of the Republic?

WB: Criminal Organizations (SW New EU), WB: Living in the Shadow of the Empire (SW New EU), Ahsoka Tano (SW New EU), Qi'ra (SW New EU), Jyn Erso (SW New EU), Enfys Nest (SW New EU), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

I’d love to see these women dealing with the consequences of the Empire as people who have to stay on the underside of it and be on the move to keep it from catching up, whether to serve the greater good or just their own interests. They exist in liminal spaces, existing in secret, not always acknowledged, and not necessarily wholly known. What is written about them while they’re alive, or after they’re gone—if they’re gone? (Or presumed dead?)

Do they interact? Three of them are in the Rebellion; though Ahsoka was recruited by Bail, she knows Saw—any chance she met Jyn or Enfys through him? Or Qi’ra if she finds Maul before he’s stranded on Malachor? And of course, either Qi’ra or Enfys might pick up Jyn after Saw, for entirely opposite reasons, and Enfys will likely clash with the Crimson Dawn’s interests more than once.

WB: Different ways of knowing the Force (SW New EU), WB: Force Bond (SW New EU), WB: Force visions (SW New EU), WB: Mortis (SW New EU), WB: The World Between Worlds (SW New EU), Ahsoka Tano (SW New EU), Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader (SW New EU), Morai (Star Wars) (SW New EU), The Daughter | Winged Goddess (SW New EU), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

The Force is so fascinating! I love Mortis and how events there seemed to foreshadow Anakin’s life—and how his imbuing of Ahsoka with the Daughter’s life saved her not just then, but later, as if he couldn’t destroy the light of that act anymore than he could destroy it in himself. I love the way that tie manifests as Morai being Ahsoka’s companion, even in the lonely dark of Malachor.

I’d be very interested in Ahsoka’s time in the temple there, how she transformed into the person we see after Endor, and what exactly that person is like. We don’t see more than a glimpse, but she looks quite intense. What did she see in that temple? How did she survive and how did she deepen her understanding of the Force? Does she ever record what she learned in any way?

In the World Between Worlds, she got a peek at Vader speaking to Luke, and in Lothal’s temple she saw Anakin castigating her; I think she’s likely to have visions of him again, real or not. What if, given their connection, they renewed their bond in that moment between fights on Malachor? Only he thinks he’s killed her. So she sees him, and at the same time he dreams of her without knowing what it means.

Or, what if she made a different choice—maybe several different choices at several different times—while in the World Between Worlds, and she tries to keep a record for herself of what she’s done and how it’s turned out?

Given how the depictions of the Mortis gods still worked to open the portal to the World Between Worlds, but we only see them in connection to Mortis, it would be intriguing to see how the ancient Jedi connected them to this particular place out of time (like Mortis). Is there more art? Perhaps a lost treatise? How exactly does Palpatine know about them?

The Chronicles of Morgaine - C. J. Cherryh

WB: The tombs of the warrior-kings (Chronicles of Morgaine), WB: Life in the drowning world after the Well of Shiuan is closed (Chronicles of Morgaine), WB: Archaeological remains after the world is drowned (Chronicles of Morgaine), Mija Jhirun Ela's-daughter (Chronicles of Morgaine), Kithan l'Ohtija (Chronicles of Morgaine), Any or No Characters (Chronicles of Morgaine), Original Character(s) (Chronicles of Morgaine), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

The Well of Shiuan was so haunting for me! A world slowly dying and people knowing it’s the end. I’d love to know more about the tombs. Any misadventures scavenging in them? A fantasy Jhirun (or other scavengers, or anyone else) has about the people who were buried there? What stories were told about them?

Jhirun’s decision, and the fates of all the others who didn’t escape, left an impression. How exactly did she and Kithan come to be queen and king of the world, and how did they lead the remnants? What’s it like to live in a world knowing it’s going to end, and you’re the last people on it?

They left writing behind, referencing Morgaine’s coming and going. Who’s reading it? Who’s exploring this world, and how long after the drowning?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV)

WB: The Life of the First Slayer (BtVS), WB: Slayer memories (BtVS), WB: Slayer dreams (BtVS), WB: Slayers of the past (BtVS), WB: Watchers and Slayers (BtVS), Buffy Summers (BtVS), Sineya | The First Slayer (BtVS), Kendra Young (BtVS), Nikki Wood (BtVS), Xin Rong (BtVS), Rupert Giles (BtVS) ,Tara Maclay (BtVS), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

The Slayer connection is something I was left very interested in. Buffy has dreams; is it possible that as she grows more in tune with her Slayer side, as she was working to do in season five, that she sees more of the other Slayers’ lives? Does Kendra, in tune with her identity from a young age, see her after being Called? Or perhaps, since the dreams can be prophetic, one of the Slayers sees a future Slayer in a dream.

Tell me about other Slayers getting into contact with Sineya; or being contacted by her.

How was Sineya’s life recorded? Was it recorded? If so, how does it compare to what her life was actually like?

Tara figured in the Sineya-induced dreams of Restless. Why did Sineya pick her? Sineya is the beginning of a line of female warriors kept in the shadows outside society, imbued with demonic power, and controlled by a male-headed Council; Tara is descended from a line of witches who are kept in the shadows of the home, told they are demons and controlled by a patriarchal family. Those are cool parallels.

Tell me about Watcher and Slayer rituals Buffy and Giles got into. Maybe something about how she wouldn’t take them seriously when she was younger, or how she didn’t entirely trust him after he hypnotized and drugged her, or how she feels about it in season five when she’s trying to learn more about how Slayers work.

What do Giles’ Watcher Diaries look like in the early seasons, as compared to the later ones? Does he go back to keeping them in season seven, or later, or not at all?

WB: Wishverse (BtVS), WB: Nightmares Universe Vampire Buffy, (BtVS)Buffy Summers (BtVS), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

I was left very intrigued by these alternate Buffys and what they could mean for their universes.

What would it be like to have a Slayer who was a vampire, especially since this version of Buffy had to never lose her soul and still feel demonic cravings, in order for the nightmare to be itself? Would Kendra be called; then what? Whose writing about this: Buffy in her diary, Giles, or some other Watcher more removed?

It seems Wishverse Buffy is both more and less like a traditional Slayer; more alone, but less biddable even than Original Flavor Buffy. Does she still have Merrick as her Watcher, or is this a new one? Has she gone through many, given their seeming inability to get her to listen to them? What’s her life like, and how is it recorded? Does she still keep a diary perhaps?

Romeo x Juliet (Anime)

WB: The maintenance of the Great Tree Escalus (Romeo x Juliet), WB: Political warfare between Houses Capulet and Montague (Romeo x Juliet), Juliet Fiammatta Arst de Capulet (Romeo x Juliet), Leontes van de Montague (Romeo x Juliet), Tybalt Volumnia de Capulet (Romeo x Juliet), Any or No Characters (Romeo x Juliet), Fanfiction, In-Universe Meta

I’d be interested to know more about just how bad things were between the houses before Montague’s coup! I’d also be interested in another way to resolve—or not—these issues; what if somehow they did publically agree to peace (before the series or during) via intermarriage? How would that work out behind the scenes? How would the characters react? Feel free to have that mean Juliet with Romeo or Leontes or Tybalt...or an AU where Leontes gets stuck with Tybalt’s mother for whatever reason.

So, the tree that keeps Neo-Verona up requires blood sacrifice. It seems to be because Leontes has killed it with his actions, and the lack of purity they reflect, but it also seems like Tybalt has heard of the importance of Capulet girls to tree maintenance. So, exactly how often and under what circumstances do people have to be sacrificed to Escalus, and what happens afterward? We get an epilogue in which it seems like Juliet might still be with Romeo, somehow. Are they sentient in there? Does Tybalt ever commune with Juliet somehow? What is passed down about Juliet and the tree? What stories are told? How did Neo-Verona get up there in the sky in the first place, and how did this system begin?

Again, thank you so much for this! I hope you have fun with the exchange!
