Dear Author,

Thank you so much for offering to write for me this holiday season! I hope this letter is nothing but helpful. Please ignore anything you wish from the prompts; it’s all just there in case you think my thoughts will be useful to your process. Please don’t mind if some prompts are a bit longer than others—some fandoms are ones I’ve had much longer to think about than others, and some of these ships have been requested and written about in previous exchanges, all of which has a bit of an unpredictable effect what I write for them here.

Likes:

Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me.

I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.

Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs.

Here are some more things I enjoy: fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open/ambiguous endings, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance—these fandoms do have a high drama quotient, psychological horror, cunnilingus, messy and complicated dynamics, blurring between obligation/need and love, fear/horror/anger mixed with desire/love, politics, isolation, competitiveness, competitive smut, limited agency, legacy, manipulation, scheming, ulterior motives for sex, Force bonds, Force shenanigans, Force Ghosts, time travel, weird worlds/dimensions, time moves differently, scars, suspense, undercover, undercover as a couple, mission fic, teaching games, compromised sense of self, interpersonal tension, duty versus desire, love/hate, possessiveness, insecurity, secret relationships, secrets, the divine as sex, using the Force for sex, choking, breathplay, bloodplay, biting, scratching, Ahsoka’s fangs, growling, blindfolding, chains, trust issues, implicit trust, emotional intimacy, casual displays of affection, shared beds, snuggling, sitting/lying in laps, jumping people, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of the man/men’s characterization, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of each other’s characterization, characters gathering each other’s backstory a little at a time, investigating each other, spying, sex and violence paired together, fucking in the same room as your enemies’ corpse, body heat sharing, loneliness, connecting to the force together mutual pining, dreams, fix-it, parallel universes, parallel universe characters, us against the world, outside pov, story/fragments of story as told in-universe, ghosts, ghost sex, feeling each others sensations during sex, IF/interactive fiction, poetry

DNWs:

permanently dead female characters (where she’s not even a ghost), the concept of Anakin and Ahsoka as a father/daugher relationship, mpreg, detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, watersports, scat, emetophilia, noncon (except if requested/prompted)—dubcon is fine, rape (except where specified below), a/b/o, rule 63’ing female characters, body horror, explicit torture, permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating, bashing of characters or ships, unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head), unrequested ships (though mentions are okay), stories where nobody really cares about the woman/women in the ship, m/m outside of m/m/f ships, focus only on m/m interactions, a story where the f/f or m/f is secondary to the m/m, AUs which don't use canon settings, underage (17+ is fine, whether you change canon ages or set things when the characters would be 17+), ageplay/infantilization, humiliation (except if requested/prompted), bestiality, Jedi Order as evil/immoral (versus deeply flawed institution, which is is good), oviposition, monster sex, tentacle sex

Caveat: Referencing something in that list which happened in canon is all right. I’d just rather not it be a main feature in the story.

Star Wars - All Media Types

Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano

I really love these two, how they mirror each other and go such down different paths, how first Anakin tries to hold onto Ahsoka and then Ahsoka tries to hold onto him, the tragedy of their failure to manage it and living with that. I’d love something sweet during any time period; what about one of the times he’s sharing his mechanical knowledge—which he got from his mother—with her? I like to think it’s his way of meditation, and that it’s how he trains her with regard to that aspect of Jedi life. Or what about after a battle, when they both need to talk or just be together? I really liked the point in her novel where she’s thinking about how he used to take care of her after battles, help her deal with the mental toll of the war. Or maybe he tries to reach her after he’s gone back to the Light Side; what do they say, and how do they begin to move on? Does she know it, with the mystical transformation she seems to have undergone by then? Or what if he actually survived—they thought their time to live was over, and now they have to deal with living in a galaxy they never expected, together.

Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano

I love these three together. They’re so alike, restricted by the lives their responsibilities demand but with a fire inside, and so open to love. They seem very close even in the early seasons; when Padmé needs a Jedi around, it’s not always Anakin because sometimes it’s Ahsoka; when Ahsoka needs a teacher, sometimes it’s Padmé; when Anakin needs someone to watch his back and be sensitive to his emotional state, sometimes it’s one and sometimes it’s the other; they each have their own relationship with both of the others. I see them as an equal triangle, or a V-relationship with Anakin at the center. I’d love to see a moment where Anakin and Padmé welcome Ahsoka into their relationship, or perhaps something after they’re all established together. It was wonderful to see the other two were working in sync to save Ahsoka when she was framed; what if they both try to get her back to them later, even if not to the Jedi? Padmé could try to persuade her, and they could go down a process of accepting and figuring out a new life in which Ahsoka is not Anakin’s Padawan but they’re all still together, perhaps closer than ever. Or maybe it’s Obi-Wan who stays on Mandalore to handle Maul, Ahsoka goes with Anakin, and they all pull together during Revenge of the Sith. Or Padmé lives, and she and Ahsoka have a bittersweet reunion with Anakin as Vader, or post-Vader.

Kaeden Larte/Ahsoka Tano

These two are wonderful! I love Kaeden being so welcoming and instantly attracted to Ahsoka, with Ahsoka reciprocating the attention without really being aware of it and being this mystery woman with a past. I love Ahsoka coming back and finding her purpose again, after all her grief, through letting herself get attached, find connections to being alive through caring for these people. Kaeden joins a medical ship for the Rebellion—what if they meet again because Ahsoka needs treatment and winds up there? Or maybe she needs to get some intelligence out to them, and there’s no one else to deliver it, or she chooses to come in person because Kaeden is there? What if they’re both trying to find a new role after the war is over, and they decide to try it together?

Kalifa & Ahsoka Tano, Kalifa/Ahsoka Tano

They got so little time together, but it was so sweet. Kalifa felt hopeless, but Ahsoka helped her find herself again, to be able to imagine and try for more than survival. What if it had worked? I’d love to see Ahsoka reuniting with her while Kalifa is recovering from her long captivity, or them recovering together. Or maybe they’re both in battle together. Or they both survive Order 66, Kalifa finds Ahsoka when she’s running and hiding and pretending not to be who she is—just as Kalifa once did—and now it’s her turn to do the comforting and inspiring.

Kanan Jarrus & Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus/Ahsoka Tano

We don’t get to see much of them together, but I love the dynamic of this former Jedi who still behaves like one and this reluctant Jedi who’s coming back to it again—I’d love to see them coming back to themselves together. I loved the little moments of care, when Kanan would catch her as she fainted or want to go back for her as she protected them from the Inquisitors; how while they were both willing to let the other die in order to protect Ezra, regretting the loss of her drove his will into surviving long enough to go back in time to save her. I feel there’s a mutual respect there, and perhaps a bit of awe on Kanan’s part. I’d love a scene of them reminiscing about something, or doing a Jedi thing they used to do with their masters together. Or what if they’d run into each other soon after Order 66, when they were both lost and trying so hard not to be themselves, losing their old identities?

Rey/Ahsoka Tano

The concept of these two meeting is great! Ahsoka is touched by the light side, both in her choice to live in it and in how its very essence gave her back her life. Rey awoke to her power as the dark side rose. They both try to reach a dark-side user they see more in, and succeed, only to be betrayed by him, and they both face the hard choice of letting him go and coming in to their potential themselves, without any help. What if Ahsoka walked through another portal, when she knew it was time? Or perhaps she learned how to become a Force Ghost and that is the version Rey meets on a dream quest? Or maybe Ahsoka has become ageless, in a sleep-like trance under Malachor’s ruined Temple, until Rey goes there and wakes her up?

Kylo Ren | Ben Solo/Ahsoka Tano, Kylo Ren | Ben Solo & Ahsoka Tano

One of the most intriguing get-togethers that hasn’t happened. In their own ways, they each represent Anakin’s legacy, and they have their own relationships to that and to him. Ahsoka is his path not taken, having faced her own capacity for darkness when she wanted vengeance and chose against it, and Kylo Ren believes he is continuing his work by choosing against his capacity for goodness; as they both turn away and leave him behind, they continue on their paths, one to remove herself from the galaxy at large until she is needed and the other to dominated it in an attempt to fulfill his own needs. Does Kylo Ren ever find out his grandfather had an apprentice? What if he met her on some pilgrimage to Malachor? Or, in a universe where Anakin survived and Ben Solo still became Kylo Ren, would Kylo Ren find them together, and perhaps come to a different choice? Or maybe he finds Ahsoka in a sleep-like trance in the ruins of Malachor, and waking her leads to her being able to ward off Snoke’s influence? Maybe she trains him instead of or in addition to Luke, or a repentant Ben finds her when he’s trying to put what’s left of his destruction into a new life.

Cassian Andor & Rose Tico

There are some interesting parallels in their relationships to Jyn and Finn; they’re both passionate, dedicated members of the Rebellion/Resistance who fight hard after having lost everything, because they believe in what they’re doing, they’re idealistic even as they must do ugly things they don’t like doing, and they both inspire a kind but disillusioned person, someone who cares but doesn’t look at the big picture, to fight and die for their cause. They both seem to have only one person they’ve bonded with, in K2 and Paige. Yet there is some difference; Rose says to save what we love, and I’m not sure Cassian would think of freeing some kitty horses and enjoying the ride, even if it’s short. Rose would definitely know about Cassian, I feel. What would that moment be like, for both of them? How would the similarities, with the subtle differences, work?

Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV)

Satsu/Buffy Summers

I loved Satsu and Buffy in what I read of the comics. (The first two seasons.) Satsu is the best of Buffy’s personal squad, and Buffy thinks she’s cute, and Satsu wakes her from a Sleeping Beauty curse! Buffy likes it when she calls her ma’am! There’s a lot of potential sweetness that was never explored. What if they’d tried to make a go of it? Or show me some romantic/sexual tension during an adventure! The moment when Satsu realized she was in love with Buffy, Buffy realizing who woke her and thinking about it, what happened between the time when that happened and the time Buffy finally had the discussion with Satsu, what happened between that discussion and their getting together, a reunion when Buffy is feeling adrift but Satsu is feeling stable in her life’s purpose and job. Endless possibility!

Tara Maclay/Buffy Summers, Tara Maclay & Buffy Summers

I’ve had a soft spot for them ever since Tara held a crying Buffy on her lap in “Dead Things.” I love Buffy’s accidental slipups—she doesn’t set out to confide in her or open herself up, mired as she is by then in feeling she has to be strong alone, but she responds to Tara and feels safe talking to her. You can see it even before that, as early as “The Body” when they talk about their mothers’ deaths. I also love the moment when Buffy takes the lead and stands up for Tara in front of her relatives, when Tara is feeling vulnerable and terrified of rejection. And then Tara seems to echo that chivalry later, when Buffy is uncomfortable with Spike but can’t fend him off herself because she’s distraught. I’d love to get a missing scene from season six after Buffy had that breakthrough, when it seemed they were getting closer. Or an alternate universe where Tara lives, but Willow still goes dark for a bit, and they need to recover. What if Willow manages to bring her back, and Buffy helps her cope?

Buffy Summers/Kendra Young, Buffy Summers & Kendra Young

I so wanted to get more of them. They’re wary and competitive, but they respect each other; Kendra can appreciate Buffy’s different take on things and Buffy’s sense of duty grows as the season goes on. I like to think her later reaction to Faith’s loose canon quality is because of all the deaths she couldn’t prevent in season two, and especially to honor Kendra’s sense of responsibility and the stake she now carries in her memory. Maybe Buffy gets Kendra that stuffed animal after all—does she do it in person or does she mail it over with a note? What if Kendra returned to Sunnydale much earlier, like around the time the Judge was being put together? That seems worthy of a visit—what would have changed if she had? Or if she’d survived Drusilla?

Cordelia Chase/Buffy Summers, Cordelia Chase & Buffy

As with Buffy and Kendra above, I would’ve loved to get more of them. They mirror each other; Cordelia is what Buffy was and how she could’ve continued to be, and she came around to being a hero too. I love the moments when they look out for each other, like Cordelia trying to help her keep her friendships and driving her home when she asks for help, or Buffy going out of her way to empathize with and reach out to Cordelia after the breakup with Xander, even though they’re no longer hanging out and weren’t quite close to begin with. I love how Cordelia doesn’t understand how Buffy would care about popularity and high school when she’s got a higher purpose to her life, and how Buffy can’t quite hide that she admires Cordelia and her social success even if she never directly says it; on some level they seem to long for what the other has, despite the insults they throw out. What about an AU where Buffy and Cordelia are roommates, Cordelia having decided to defer Hollywood until she had a degree? Or a role reversal where Cordelia is the Slayer and Buffy arrives in Sunnydale on the heels of her parents’ divorce, and they find themselves becoming frenemies’ in their new and precarious situation?

Angel/Buffy Summers

I love these two and how much they mean to each other, from the early seasons to the last. I enjoy all the scenes when they’re taking care of each other, whether it’s Buffy trying to nurse Angel back to health and sanity or Angel helping Buffy through a difficult moment. I’d be happy with some cuddling in her room or the mansion in the early seasons, a quick visit during the later seasons, the classic “what happened when they met in early BTVS season six/ATS season three” story, a bittersweet moment where one needs the other’s help on a mission during the years they spend apart, or a happy ending after all. Or maybe what happens in a Wishverse where Buffy and Angel survive the fight at the Bronze, or don’t go at all—what if Angel hadn’t gone to wait for her in Sunnydale, but had followed her to Cleveland? In both universes, they’re lonely souls stuck in-between worlds; how does their relationship work out with a Buffy who’s a little more jaded?

Buffy Summers & Dawn Summers & Joyce Summers

I love this utterly normal and utterly unconventional family. I love how even knowing Dawn didn’t come from what they thought, they choose to accept and love her anyway, and Dawn is clings so hard to them in turn, through all her insecurity. I’d love something set during their last—and first—Christmas, knowing so much, secrets out, and happily enjoying where there relationships have led them. Or something out of the new memories; what was it like after Buffy burned down what would’ve been Dawn’s future school? I imagine there could be some fun interactions over the summer, with Buffy moving out. Or something nice they remember from their old lives, before Joyce and Hank divorced and Buffy was the Slayer. Maybe they gave her some funny Mother’s Day presents, or Joyce tries to help Dawn with a fashion experiment and Buffy takes some time off from being a high school socialite to intercede, against her better judgment? What if AU where Joyce makes it out of Sunnydale alive and they can all rebuild together?

Buffy Summers & Dawn Summers

A favorite sibling relationship of mine; there’s always friction, but a deep love too. I love Buffy seeing Dawn as part of herself, the function she plays as representing the person in her—choosing to kill Dawn means choosing to kill that part of herself, choosing to save Dawn at the world’s expense means choosing to kill the part of herself that is good—either way she is killing something she as a person values, and in her sacrifice she finds a way to balance and honor all of herself, who she is. She finds her strength again. I love Dawn desperately trying to keep what connections she has in this world, the things that make her feel like a person, trying so hard to reach Buffy and feeling so desolate when she can’t, but continually coming to understand her sister and looking out for her as best as she is able. I’d love to get more training sessions between seasons six and seven. Or how about them at Tara’s funeral? Processing the events that happened during that calm summer? Or them finding a new life in Italy, figuring out what new things to want, or what old things they can always come back to.

Buffy Summers & Joyce Summers

They are so star-crossed in a way! Buffy wants to be the obedient daughter, or at least the one who doesn’t really cause trouble, but she can’t be—her duty requires that she separate from her mother as an authority figure early on, and her independent, self-reliant streak makes it easier for her to choose that duty when she knows it’s right. Her mother thinks she’s losing her daughter, and she has, even if not in the way she at first thinks. When they both start to know it and manage to handle it, it’s almost time for Buffy to leave the nest, and only Joyce’s looming death brings them closer again. There’s tension and caring there. I’d love to see something set pre-Sunnydale, when they’re moving, a brief moment of respite from the stress their relationship and lives are undergoing. Or a bit of what it was like when Buffy moved back in to take care of Joyce. How about more of their last Christmas together? Or the summer before Buffy moves out to college? Or the unseen conversation where Joyce tells Buffy what she’d like for her post-mortem arrangements?

Rupert Giles/Buffy Summers, Rupert Giles & Buffy Summers

A loving yet tense relationship, as the personal and the professional blur; I love how they love each other and yet out loud they try to contain the relationship with the words of their titles, defining themselves as Watcher and Slayer when they mean so much more to each other. I love the mix of intimacy and duty. They try to take care of each other. They don’t always manage it, but they try. I’d love to see them dealing with the after-effects of “Helpless”; Buffy forgives him, but they don’t forget. What if we saw more of the scene where she’s letting him take care of her wound? Or something when they get to talk after the events of season six, without having to immediately worry about Willow or the First—perhaps phone calls to the other side of the world between seasons? Happy adventures in Europe post-series?

Rupert Giles & Xander Harris & Willow Rosenberg & Buffy Summers

I love them all together. They have their problems and they don’t always talk about them, but they instinctively know that in a time of crisis, they can rely on each other. They’ll pull together, despite all the reasons they shouldn’t work, because that’s what they do, it’s what they are to each other. How about some missing scenes in the summer between seasons four and five, maybe a little bitter because Giles is secretly planning to leave, but still sweet? Or a Christmas we didn’t see, like in season two? Or maybe they’re separating some time after the season finale to do different things, but make sure to have one last day together—or a reunion when it’s been a while? Or a missing mission from the seasons when they were all together?

Willow Rosenberg & Buffy Summers

Buffy and Willow have such a tumultous journey together. I love Buffy’s supportiveness from the very start, and how Willow did her best to respond in kind. They’re so protective of each other, yet also have high expectations; Willow expects Buffy to be in that role of leader and protector, to be the strong one—despite sometimes resenting feeling like a sidekick—and Buffy relies on Willow’s skills even as they become more dangerous to Willow, while cutting herself off despite resenting being “strong” in that way. I love that Willow’s initial impulse when going dark was to heal Buffy and invite her to come along to take care of Warren, and I loved Buffy picking up injured Willow when the skin-eating demon got her, and how she lent Willow her strength to heal afterwards. How about a scene of them trying to reconnect afterwards, before everything became terrible again? Or how about post-season seven, Willow connected to the Slayers now—how would that affect her relationship with Buffy? Or maybe they talk about Tara sometimes.

Note: I’m requesting them as friends, but if you should want to do something shippy, I’ve definitely enjoyed that before and wouldn’t mind!

Crossover Fandom

Buffy Summers (BtVS)/Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars), Buffy Summers (BtVS) & Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars)

I’ve been fond of these two since coming to these canons at the same time in 2005. Two destined heroes, unconventional within their context and struggling to balance their duties with their personal desires, capable of deep love, and hellishly dangerous in battle. A slight tendency to brood and cut themselves off because they are the One and nobody else can do what they can do. Then, they both experience the depression of having to keep living when they thought their life was over, they were done, and it would have come as a relief to be dead. Fuse their universes, have one of them visit the other in a dream—they’re both psychic that way—or have some portal shenanigans with the Force/Hellmouth. Maybe one of them is stuck in a temple via cryogenics or a spell and the other finds them in the ruins. Or, they run into each other when Buffy’s in that trap that turns homeless Earth people into slave labor; maybe she ends up on Tatooine instead, or he and/or Shmi got taken there at some point from Tatooine, and they escape together. Then they bond!

Buffy Summers (BtVS)/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars), Buffy Summers (BtVS) & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)

I love these two. They’re both so resilient and brave and snarky. They are both lost to themselves and to the world sometimes, but they persist in living and eventually finding meaning and purpose in their fight again. They’re unconventional and independent and caring and that’s what saves them, and what makes them good leaders who inspire others and connect to them in terrible circumstances. I feel like the time when Ahsoka is grieving and lost and trying to survive after Order 66, becoming more Ashla and trying to leave herself behind for her own sake, is comparable to Buffy leaving Sunnydale after season two and trying to bury herself in the Anne identity, until connecting with someone who needs their help brings them back to themselves. I also like to compare their ordeals with Angel/Anakin, how the world fell out from under them and they wished they could to this person they loved for comfort, when his evil was the thing causing them misery; how they eventually resolved to face and fight them, finally bringing them to their knees; how for one moment, they recognized the person they loved, they saw him there, and then they realized it didn’t matter. The chance was gone and it was too late. They broke my heart. Fuse their universes, have one of them visit the other in a dream—they’re both psychic that way—or have some portal shenanigans with the Force/Hellmouth. Maybe one of them is stuck in a temple via cryogenics or a spell and the other finds them in the ruins. Or, they run into each other when Buffy’s in that trap that turns homeless Earth people into slave labor; maybe in this case it’s actually something like the hunting game Ahsoka got caught in during The Clone Wars, and this time they’re trapped together! Escaping and bonding ensues.

Wynonna Earp (Wynonna Earp) & Buffy Summers (BTVS)

Two Chosen Ones, both with past attempts to try to escape their lives in their respective small town hells, settling in to fight their fights and keep their beloved sisters safe, no matter where those sisters actually came from. I’d love to see Buffy rolling into Purgatory post-series; or perhaps she ends up there when she leaves Sunnydale at the end of season two, or even in an AU where she never went to Sunnydale and instead traveled around killing demons. Maybe they meet when they’re both running away, and part ways after forming an unexpected connection. Maybe it’s Wishverse Buffy who winds up in Purgatory.

Note: I’m requesting them as gen, but if you should want to do something shippy, I’m sure I would enjoy that too!

Scheherazade "Sadie" Keating (1931: SatLoP)/Nancy Drew (Nancy Drew - Carolyn Keene)

Brilliant young archaeology student in the 1930s needs to solve the mystery of what happened to her parents and why that robbery happened. She meets a brilliant girl around her age who can’t help but try to solve mysteries. Putting them together just sounds so fun! Maybe they run into each other and find out what Nancy is working on is somehow related to what’s going on in Sadie’s life! Maybe they’re friends and then Nancy just wants to help out, adventures are had, and they get together! Or they already were and it’s fun to figure things out with your girlfriend while shenanigans happen. You can do a period piece set in the 30s, or a modern one—if you know the Nancy Drew video games, you can work with elements of that Nancy too! (I haven’t played the one I own yet, Tomb of the Lost Queen, but I am familiar with things from osmosis. And it’s Nancy Drew! I know her!)

Alice (Once Upon a Time in Wonderland)/Emma Swan (Once Upon a Time)

They both ended up wanderers, of different sorts; Alice left home willingly to have adventures with her beloved, where Emma was forced into a life of trying to survive alone and being left by her loved ones. Yet they aren’t all that different; Alice is losing hope until someone gives her a reason, and Emma manages to be a very emotionally healthy person who is more open than she thinks to changing her life once something happens to trigger that change for the better. What if instead of them spending so much time alone and hurting from loss, they found each other? Maybe Alice manages to find her and whisk her away, before they eventually find who Emma is and go break the curse together? Or they run into each other after Wonderland is saved and they bond over swapping stories?

Harry Potter - J. K. Rowling

With regard to Hogwarts Mystery, if you should be interested in my player character, she’s in Ravenclaw, brown-skinned and dark-haired, and named Pandora Irizelvera. But you’re free to choose whichever MC you like here, including your own!

Female PC/Female Rowan Khanna, Female PC & Rowan Khanna

I love their instant friendship and how they look out for each other. Maybe something where Rowan takes the MC to visit her family’s tree farm, and they have fun interacting with bowtruckles. Or MC helps Rowan research something important to her. How about coming to visit after Rowan is made a Hogwarts Professor?

Female PC/Bill Weasley, Female PC & Bill Weasley

It was very fun to meet him in his school years, and I loved that moment where he says he’ll take her Curse-Breaking once he makes it his career. Make it come true! Or you could just give them some fun moments duelling, or something bittersweet about family, given their shared dedication towards their siblings. Maybe the MC goes to visit the Weasleys one day!

Female PC/Andre Egwu, Female PC & Andre Egwu

He’s just so nice! And generous! What if he gets her into being a little more athletic—after all, Curse-Breaking requires getting into all these dangerous situations, and it’s good to have stamina! Or she tries to learn how to be more fashionable to impress him, and secretly plans to surprise him with what she’s learned—and she doesn’t necessarily get it right?

Female PC & Chiara Lobosca

Such a sad backstory! I’d love to see more of them hanging out, playing with Borf. Since MC can become an Animagus, they could spend time together like that, keeping each other company while Chiara is a wolf. Maybe they can forget about the tragedies in their lives, knowing the other understands, and just feel normal around each other.

Female PC & Penny Haywood

Penny believes in MC so much! I love the moment when she’s trying to erase her ability to feel the trauma she experienced and her willingness to get MC so involved before being able to explain herself. Maybe Penny tries to help her reputation when someone is slandering it, or she has another moment of feeling like she has to drive all the pain away, only this time she relies on MC in a healthier way.

Female PC & Tulip Karasu

I love Tulip’s creativity and trouble-making, and her insecurity with regard to herself and her friendships. It’d be fun to see her trying to get the MC into one of her pranking adventures, and inadvertently get vulnerable with her when MC is nice, or protective because MC isn’t as much of a natural at this as she is.

Rowan Khanna/Bill Weasley

Rowan’s admiration of Bill is really endearing in its straightforwardness and awkwardness. What if she got a chance to practice duelling with him? Would Bill be impressed by what her theoretical knowledge can bring to the table? Maybe they have an adventure of their own and their strengths complement each other, so he ends up admiring her?

Luna Lovegood/Harry Potter, Luna Lovegood & Harry Potter

I loved the moments we got of their friendship. Luna believed in Harry, and Harry found some comfort in that even if he was unsure at first. She was able to reach him and bring him out of himself in his devastation, and he’s moved by her kindness, and perhaps by the similar experience they’ve both had with being bullied and mocked. He named one of his daughters after her! The only kid named partly after someone alive. I’d love to see something with them on an adventure chasing one of the creatures Luna knows about and he doesn’t. Or perhaps, given their relationships to death and coping with it, and how Harry likes flying, they can have a moment with the thestrals—something to echo the one they had in the movies, if you want to use that bit of canon where he found her feeding them—that ends up with them flying, and less tragic results are had. Maybe a spontaneous but fun vacation after the war, when Harry is an Auror and Luna takes him out to discover something new together.

Luna Lovegood/Helena Ravenclaw

Given how relatively alone Luna was with regard to her peers, what if she talked to the Grey Lady? What would their conversations be like? They both have mother backstory—Helena wanted to be like her own, and eventually died at the end of the path she chose, while Luna watched hers die at a young age and seems to have come to terms with it. How do they relate to each other? Can Luna bring Helena out of her solitude? Or perhaps Helena comes to visit Luna when she’s on their own. Maybe they like being in solitude together. It would be fun if they had some late-night rendezvous, or something approximating a picnic by the lake. Or maybe Luna feeds the thestrals and Helena, having heard of it, comes by out of curiosity to see it.

Sirius Black/Luna Lovegood

I’m just smushing them because they’re too of my favorite characters. Also, I like the idea of Luna’s serenity belying an intimacy with loss and trauma next to Sirius’ attempts to do something after losing so much and spending so much of his life resigned to living in the moment of his despair forever. What if he’d lived long enough to meet her? Maybe during the war, they end up in a tight spot together and come out of the situation respecting each other. Maybe one or both of them notices something about Harry and sharing the observation, helping the other out with him/helping him directly gets them started on appreciating each other and they bond. Or after the war, at some point when they’re trying to rebuild their lives and finally move on from what shaped them, they have a quiet moment, maybe if Luna brings him (and maybe Harry) on some adventure with a creature most people didn’t believe in, or—this is becoming a theme with my Luna ship requests—they interact with thestrals together.

Sirius Black & Harry Potter

Oh, the tragic what-could-have-beens! I love that even while on the run, Sirius managed to send Harry a nice broom and then came to see him, despite the danger and the awful conditions he was living in. It was so horrible that Harry’s desperation to save him is what led to losing him forever. What if they really had been able to clear his name and free him? Would they have been able to live together, or would the blood protection of living with the Dursleys lead to things staying much the same, except Sirius coming to visit? What if things developed so they had to run away together—or maybe Sirius is still alive when Voldemort overthrows the ministry and they’re both having a moment of respite as they go to ground while searching for Horcruxes? Or a wholly happy AU where none of these horrible things ever happened and Harry grew up with a family who loved him?

Again, thank you so much for offering anything here, and for the work you are putting into creating my gift! I hope your holiday season is wonderful.
