Dear Author,
Thank you so much for offering one of these fandoms! I hope you find this letter useful—if not, discard the prompts as you please. They’re only there as an extra aid in your efforts. I will be so happy to receive your gift come Christmas Day.

Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me.
I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.
Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs.
Here are some more things I enjoy: fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open/ambiguous endings, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance—these fandoms do have a high drama quotient, psychological horror, cunnilingus, messy and complicated dynamics, blurring between obligation/need and love, fear/horror/anger mixed with desire/love, politics, isolation, competitiveness, competitive smut, limited agency, legacy, manipulation, scheming, ulterior motives for sex, time travel, weird worlds/dimensions, time moves differently, scars, suspense, undercover, undercover as a couple, mission fic, teaching games, compromised sense of self, interpersonal tension, duty versus desire, love/hate, possessiveness, insecurity, secret relationships, secrets, the divine as sex, choking, breathplay, bloodplay, biting, scratching, growling, blindfolding, chains, trust issues, implicit trust, emotional intimacy, casual displays of affection, shared beds, snuggling, sitting/lying in laps, jumping people, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of the man/men’s characterization, stories where the woman/women are a significant part of each other’s characterization, characters gathering each other’s backstory a little at a time, investigating each other, spying, sex and violence paired together, fucking in the same room as your enemies’ corpse, body heat sharing, loneliness, mutual pining, dreams, fix-it, parallel universes, parallel universe characters, us against the world, outside pov, story/fragments of story as told in-universe, ghosts, ghost sex, feeling each others sensations during sex, IF/interactive fiction, poetry
DNWs:
permanently dead female characters (where she’s not even a ghost), mpreg, detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, watersports, scat, emetophilia, noncon (except if requested/prompted)—dubcon is fine, rape (except where specified below), a/b/o, rule 63’ing female characters, body horror, explicit torture, permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating, bashing of characters or ships, unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head), unrequested ships (though mentions are okay), stories where nobody really cares about the woman/women in the ship, m/m outside of m/m/f ships, focus only on m/m interactions, a story where the f/f or m/f is secondary to the m/m, AUs which don't use canon settings, underage (17+ is fine, whether you change canon ages or set things when the characters would be 17+), ageplay/infantilization, humiliation (except if requested/prompted), bestiality, oviposition, monster sex, tentacle sex
Caveat: Referencing something in that list which happened in canon is all right. I’d just rather not it be a main feature in the story.
Onto fandoms! Don’t worry if some of the prompts are a bit longer than the others; I’ve copy-pasted from Yuletides past, and will be delighted at a gift for anything requested here.
The Shannara Chronicles (TV)
Mareth (The Shannara Chronicles (TV)) Lyria (The Shannara Chronicles (TV)) Bandon (The Shannara Chronicles (TV)) Queen Tamlin (The Shannara Chronicles (TV))
This show was so cheesy and I loved it.
Mareth—tell me more about her adventures before finding Wil? Or something post-series, with her trying to rescue him. If you wanted to give me something more with Allanon, I’d love that too.
Bandon—I’d like to see how he got to the point he was at in the beginning of season two, and the way he’s terrible but does seem to genuinely not want to hurt people who were good to him, who he sees as good. Maybe a happier ending?
I also liked when he tried to get to Mareth and talked about her potential—what if that had worked? I like their canon ships but I also like the idea of shipping them, so go with either!
Lyria—tell me about her previous affairs and adventures in trying to have a measure of control over her life? Or something post-series about her dealing with her kingdom in the wake of her mother’s death.
Queen Tamlin—I’d like to see her efforts to protect her kingdom, her ambiguous behavior with good intentions, and more of how she sees the daughter she loves.
Maybe a nice moment they had amongst all the familial strife, or a happier ending where they can both meet in the middle with who they are to each other?
Sabrina the Teenage Witch (TV)
Salem Saberhagen (Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV) Sabrina Spellman (Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV) Libby Chessler (Sabrina the Teenage Witch TV)
Sabrina is such a wish-fulfillment character. Normal, but nigh all-powerful. I’d love to see her going on adventures—maybe even time-traveling adventures? Maybe she’s dealing with a curse?
Libby is the image of wish-fulfillment for normal girls—rich, pretty, and popular—while being at the occasional mercy of witchcraft; what if she were to find out?
I also ship these two, so if you want to indulge in some foeyay that’d be excellent too! Maybe Salem can narrate.
Salem—I love his greedy, ambitious, funny self with a heart of...well, something buried deep inside. What were his first years as a cat like? Or a day in a secret double life outside of the household?
Mansfield Park - Jane Austen
Fanny Price (Mansfield Park – Austen)
I loved Fanny Price and her bravery in her steadfastness. I appreciate that the book validated her way of thinking about life and people. A story of her childhood would be interesting although depressing, so it would be nice if that included happier moments like Fanny enjoying poetry or nature or Edmund, or letters from her brother William. Or her future after the book having the life she wanted, with Edmund, or more on her relationship with Susan Price. Or perhaps one day she got back into contact with Mary Crawford, or the Bertram sisters. What kind of relationship would they develop?
Cinderella Phenomenon (Visual Novel)
Delora (Cinderella Phenomenon) Lucette Riella Britton
I love the backstory for this game. Lucette’s especially—she’s a mean Rapunzel, isolated and uncomprehending in her coldness. What if she’s removed from Hildyr’s influence earlier? Or stays under it, without becoming a literal puppet? I also adored Fritz and Lucette before I ever played the route. Lonely, aloof princess and her devoted knight, the only one she trusts. Backstory or future fic are both welcome.
Lastly, I love the shadows that Hildyr and Delora’s relationship casts on the game. More of it would be good. Tragic backstory, or fluff that hints of the tragedy to come, I’ll take it. Or maybe give me what it was like for her and Parfait to build a sanctuary for the cursed, or her days as Lucette’s doll. That had to be painful—except if there was a moment that gave her hope amid all her observations?
Sharp Objects - Gillian Flynn
Camille Preaker (Sharp Objects – Flynn)
Camille is my woobie! I love her messed up self. The gravity of her mother and their relationship pulling at her, her painful love for her sisters, the way even when she finally thinks she’s begun to build a better future it’s taken away. I would love anything for her—character study, interior monologue. A day in the life after the events of the book, or something during her teenage years, or something about her attempts to leave Wind Gap behind when she first left. Someone taking care of her, except it’s good this time, only it’s not because there are still complicated feelings there.
The Seventh Bride - T. Kingfisher
Rhea (The Seventh Bride) Sylvie (The Seventh Bride) Maria (The Seventh Bride)
I’d love to see Rhea and the hedgehog in the mill. Or when they come back for Rhea’s training. Maybe something happens to set off her magic, or she and the hedgehog perform some together.
What was Maria’s life as a witch before Crevan married her? I’d be happy to see adventures with the bear, or what it was like in her first marriage.
What is it like to be missing part of yourself? For the Sylvie in the clock, or the Sylvie outside. I’d also like to see what it was like for her back home, with the ice and the things melting out of it.
I loved the camaraderie Maria and Sylvie—and eventually Rhea—shared, so a moment of that would be wonderful. Set it whenever you like: in the years before Rhea came, or a moment while she was there, or them trying to make a life in the house after the end of the book.
Thank you again for your work, and I hope you will have a fine Yuletide experience!
