Dear Chocolatier:
I'm so sorry--I kept hoping I'd be able to finish this at a remotely reasonable time during the exchange. I've learned not to request so many things if I want to leave prompts. In case you check my journal before reveals just ior anyone who might be looking at ships for treating purposes sees this, I'll do what I should have done and post what prompts I do have, along with the more general fic preferences.
Fic Likes:
Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me. Just look at my ships!
I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.
Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs. Also, is it clear that I like crossovers and crossover ships yet? Cross any of the fandoms listed above with each other, or even with one I haven't listed, and I'll love it.
If you'd rather do something with a character that doesn't involve the ships I listed, that would be appreciated too! In the end they're just my favorites.
Here are some more things I enjoy:
fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open endings with hope/upbeat tones, romance, gen, gen with a strong dose of romance, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance (passion, fervor--after all, my fandoms have a high melodrama quotient)
Fic Dislikes:
Character death (with an exception for Anakin/Vader, where either way works for me), mpreg, detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, noncon, rape, incest, permanent breakups, a/b/o, genderbending unless it's for the male characters, body horror, explicit and/or permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating, bashing of characters or ships, unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head), unrequested ships (though mentions are okay)

Clone Wars
Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano (Clone Wars), Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano (Clone Wars)
My Star Wars otp, platonic or romantic. They're so naturally in sync, and at the same time she takes a path he couldn't bring himself to choose, more independent than he ever was. He's a man plagued with the desire to have power over life and death; she is the only one he ever saved.
I have formed mental associations between Iphigenia and Ahsoka, and Anakin with Achilles. From the book Achilles by Elizabeth Cook, "She showed him that the way to make your fate your choice is to choose it, fearlessly, your lungs drinking in the air. It makes the gods ashamed."
Ahsoka goes through a traumatic experience and Anakin helps her through the emotional wringer by opening up about his own.
Tight hugs! Bedsharing! Angsty encounters post Ahsoka's departure! Breath sharing! Emotional intimacy! Emotional intimacy via physical intimacy!
A stolen moment on Mandalore to go with him giving her half his men and his mission.
What if it was Ahsoka, and not Palpatine, who found him burning in Mustafar? Or what if she found out where he was going from Padmé? (Whether it's information willingly given, she sneaks aboard the ship and then removes Padmé from it for her safety once she knows where they're going, or a combination of both.) What would happen if, during the time that would cement his destiny, Anakin felt he had someone other than Palpatine to cling to?
Alternately, what if due to his injuries Anakin becomes amnesiac? Does Ahsoka find him before or after Palpatine gets to him? Does he forget everything about his life, or just the latest events? Does Ahsoka know what he was doing recently? Does he get his memories back in trickles (perhaps nightmares) or all at once?
Not quite a prompt: until this show happened, Xena/Gabrielle was the only friends to lovers OTP I really had. There's a something of a similarity in the dynamics: Ahsoka and Gabrielle are younger girls hungry for learning from angsting warriors with pasts, warriors who want to protect them from the violence found both in the world and in their own hearts.
Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: Clone Wars) & Sheev Palpatine (Star Wars: Clone Wars) and Ahsoka Tano & Anakin Skywalker & Sheev Palpatine (Star Wars: Clone Wars)
I've got the same prompt for both; feel free to focus on whichever combination you prefer!
The unfinished arc in which she goes deep underground with Anakin and Obi Wan, with a Sith temple below the Jedi Temple, features a scene in which Sidious tries to steal holocrons and she seals the doors with her lightsaber while deflecting his lightning. What if, with Anakin there and Sidious planning to eventually reveal himself to him, Palpatine decides to keep an eye on Ahsoka? The girl is obviously still in contact with his future apprentice and he does want to be the only person in Anakin's life.
Ahsoka Tano & Darth Vader (Clone Wars)
On Mortis, Anakin is Darth Vader rising early. What would these two have done with each other if Ahsoka hadn't gotten away from the ship before he could escape in it? Or if he'd gotten to her after?
Padmé Amidala/Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars: Clone Wars)
Space queen/senator and space knights! A trio of vibrant people dedicated to selfless service since childhood, struggling with the institutions they believe in, while firmly valuing the personal and individual parts of their lives alongside the public. I feel like Padmé errs on the side of choosing the public too much, Anakin on the personal side, and Ahsoka is more balanced.
Ahsoka is found guilty and sentenced. What will the other two do?
What if she went with Padmé to confront him, instead of Obi Wan?
Ahsoka Tano & Mace Windu (Star Wars: Clone Wars)
Inspired by Samuel L. Jackson's comment--aired during SWCO--about how Mace Windu could have survived Revenge of the Sith. Ahsoka is on Coruscant (for whatever reason; maybe she finished up early on Mandalore?) and finds him after he's been launched through the window. Maybe she saves him, and they end up on the run together.

Rebels
Ahsoka Tano | Fulcrum/Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader (Rebels), Ahsoka Tano/Darth Vader (Star Wars: Rebels), Ahsoka Tano & Darth Vader (Star Wars: Rebels)
She will always believe in him, even as she can't allow him to succeed in serving the Empire. She's loyal to him without abandoning her principles. She's the only person he ever saved from death, long ago when he still called himself Anakin.
"There is still time. She raises her face. If now I am to die it will be here, in this place, here where I belong." - The Winged Histories by Sofia Samatar. (Also from this book: "Because my life was a plain of stones and I could not see any way out of what was coming.")
Something happens to Darth Vader. He gets away from the enemy, whoever it might be, but he's damaged enough to need care and he can only just manage to keep himself alive. Ahsoka finds him.
Alternately, something happens to Ahsoka and Vader can't let her die without him being the cause.
Clingy, amnesiac Vader. Conflicted Ahsoka. Amnesia can apply to his whole life or just the Vader bits. Does he get his memories back in trickles (perhaps nightmares) or all at once?
On the flipside, amnesiac Ahsoka, with different conditions: she can't remember anything but she does know Vader is bad news. Or she doesn't, but there are visions...
As mentioned in the Clone Wars section above, I have some Iphigenia associations with Ahsoka. There's a story where Artemis takes Iphigenia as a priestess or companion goddess, in lieu of her truly dying. I like the idea that at the moment of Ahsoka embracing the conflicting truths inside her--that Anakin is now on the wrong path, but he's still the person she loves--her choice to stay isn't a sacrifice, but an ascension.
This isn't really a prompt, but I want to say that, in a confluence of my childhood and current loves, "Twilight of the Apprentice" shares some beats with "Becoming Part II," the season two finale of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Spoilers for what aired nearly twenty years ago: Ahsoka's snarky entrance, the way she makes a stunning comeback that brings him to his knees, and then the moment of hope. He's not the villain. He's someone she loves. Within reach. Ahsoka's face when she realizes it doesn't matter, even if it does. For the sake of others, she has to finish the fight.

Crossovers
Missy (DW 2005) & Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars) & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars) & Twelfth Doctor (DW 2005)
Ahsoka Tano and Missy switch bodies, with the end result being that Missy becomes Empress of the galaxy with Anakin as her Enforcer, until either the Doctor and Ahsoka manage to set things right or Missy gets bored and leaves. Either way, Ahsoka gets left behind with the mess. Idea taken with permission from
selenak here.
Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader (Star Wars Original Trilogy) & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars Rebels)
Ahsoka gets Force Ghost lessons from Anakin.
I have a thing for Ahsoka outliving Anakin, becoming older than he ever got to be, making the choices and doing the things he couldn't. I like the idea of them having encounters/adventures once he's a Force Ghost. Reconnecting, Ahsoka finding peace and moving on (whether as a result of this or sometime between then and Malachor), but touching base again and again throughout the rest of her life, before joining him in the Force when she's ready. (I think I've fused the end of Xena, the epilogue of Titanic, and the end of Hamilton here. Those things do make me cry tears of bittersweet joy.)
Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader (SW) & Ahsoka Tano & Finn (SW Sequel Trilogy)
Force ghosts, shenanigans, Finn just learns about them somehow without them ever meeting. (Remembering Kylo Ren's idea in The Force Awakens that clones might be more loyal gives me a thought: maybe Finn has or develops an awareness of the history behind the creation of these armies?) I think it'd be interesting, considering the first two were leaders in a clone army, and Finn is a stormtrooper who got himself free, for them to come into contact. I don't conflate the sides, but the Jedi take children and raise them in a specific way, and so does the First Order (in a much more brutal and depersonalizing way), and the very creation of the clones is brutal even if the Jedi are nicer about it than the First Order is with their troopers.
Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars) & Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars)
Am I smooshing favorite characters from different canons here? Yes. Both Anakin and Ahsoka remind me of Buffy and vice versa: the compassion, emotionality, and snark with all three; the destiny and constant striving for a personal life with Anakin and Buffy; the determination to do what's right and question authority with Ahsoka and Buffy.
As for how to make it happen; I'm mostly interested in the mechanics as a way to throw the characters together, but if you want to weave the mechanics in as a part of that, I'd love that too!
Buffyverse canon includes alternate universes and dimensions, along with portals and spells designed to bring/send things from one place to the other. Star Wars has its own weird mystical worlds going on. Work with that as you will. Another thing is, what if Buffy's resurrection that sends her over to a random universe not her own? Whether something went wrong or the powers of her universe made sure her return couldn't unbalance things--it did give the First Evil a loophole to takeover in the series. There's also the possibility of setting Star Wars as legitimately "long long ago." Maybe have them be ghosts --Buffy does on occasion get visions and dreams from ghosts. Or do it the other way around: the Buffyverse happens first and then, whether as a ghost or a serious case of Sleeping Beauty, Buffy makes it to the Star Wars time and galaxy. Or, what if they occur at the same time and in the same universe/dimension: AU Earth into the Star Wars universe, or have it be discovered during the Clone Wars.
Star Wars as an artifact of pop culture exists in the Buffyverse. I'm fine if you want to handwave that away or if you want it to remain so, however you handle it. maybe Once Upon a Time it, with there being different Realms of Story, from which Buffy characters and Star Wars characters are pulled to live in the real world. Or Jumanji it, where characters from either canon are stuck in the other and have to deal with all the rules until they get out.
Rey & Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars)
A girl from nowhere, a boy from nowhere, and the girl who walked away. Rey and Anakin were said to have risen for the sake of balance in the Force, and rejected the representatives of light and dark sides for their own reasons; Ahsoka is in a liminal space, neither Jedi nor Sith; all ultimately end up in the light, one way or another.
It's interesting to me that both Rey and Ahsoka share the experience of trying to reach someone they care about deeply, only to have Ben and Anakin try to kill them in an attempt to destroy their pasts and old selves.
Maybe the older two are Force Ghosts? Or just Anakin, as Rey meets an older Ahsoka.
Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars)/Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Anakin Skywalker (Star Wars) & Buffy Summers (Buffy the Vampire Slayer)
Feel free to choose which variant you prefer!
Ah, two heroes with different paths. Neither of them really fits the mold they were meant for, but Buffy is more independent (a bit like Ahsoka) and less isolated.
As for how to make it happen; I'm mostly interested in the mechanics as a way to throw the characters together, but if you want to weave the mechanics in as a part of that, I'd love that too!

Upon reading the Ahsoka novel, I was struck with how the basic premise and character path reminded me of "Anne," one of my favorite Buffy episodes. Something inspired by that? They're both independent women who love as fiercely as they fight.
As for how to make it happen; I'm mostly interested in the mechanics as a way to throw the characters together, but if you want to weave the mechanics in as a part of that, I'd love that too!

Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars Rebels) & Ben Solo | Kylo Ren (Star Wars Sequel Trilogy), A. Skywalker | Darth Vader (SW Rebels) & Ahsoka Tano (SW Rebels) & B. Solo | Kylo Ren (SW ST)
I've got the same prompt for both; feel free to focus on whichever combination you prefer!
Ahsoka knew and loved the man; Kylo Ren lives in his shadow.
Ahsoka's cryogenically frozen, and Kylo Ren finds her. Maybe Vader did it to keep her out of the Rebellion and away from Imperial dangers. Kylo makes a pilgrimage to where she's hidden. Maybe he already knows who she is, maybe he doesn't.
Ahsoka Tano & Cassian Andor
They started out life on opposite sides during the Clone Wars, very young--although the difference of Ahsoka being fourteen and Cassian being six is significant--and end up being vital to the Rebellion: Ahsoka as an early leader who founded the spy network, Cassian as a leader who took the name she created and stole the Death Star plans. The other thing that interests me is that Ahsoka, while not Jyn, did need some convincing to join the Rebellion, after a year of just being on the run and doing disorganized good deeds that went against the Empire on the way. And that's after walking away from her position in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars. Whereas Cassian got into this when he was a child and never looked back. He was certain of the cause and clung to that, where Ahsoka did not.
As the person who ran the spy network for most of the years between the rise of the empire and a New Hope, I like to think Ahsoka would have known of Cassian and perhaps even met him, before he adopted the name she created--Rogue One is only a few years after the events of Rebels, if I understand things right. Or just go AU with it.

Idea taken with permission from
Anakin Skywalker | Darth Vader (Star Wars Original Trilogy) & Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars Rebels)

Ah, two heroes with different paths. Neither of them really fits the mold they were meant for, but Buffy is more independent (a bit like Ahsoka) and less isolated.

Upon reading the Ahsoka novel, I was struck with how the basic premise and character path reminded me of "Anne," one of my favorite Buffy episodes. Something inspired by that? They're both independent women who love as fiercely as they fight.
