I recently started getting back into Austen. Before this year, I had only read Emma. I was assigned Mansfield Park  for an English class last semester, and although I found parts a bit tedious, by the end, I felt really satisfied, and yet hungry for more. I reread Emma, watched the Mansfield Park miniseries online, and bought two more books which I haven't read yet.

When I found the Everything Austen Challenge by Stephanie here thewrittenword.wordpress.com/everything-austen-challenge/, I felt compelled to sign up. It's a way to inmerse myself in Austen's world and communicate with fellow fans.

"The Everything Austen Challenge runs from July 1, 2009 to January 1, 2010. Participants have picked out six Austen-themed books to read / movies to watch or in some cases both to finish by the end of the year. For full details and to sign up, just click here. The deadline for signing up is July 15, 2009."

I've picked:
Reading Pride and Prejudice
Reading Persuasion
Watching Bridget Jones' Diary
Reading Northanger Abbey
Watching Bride and Prejudice
Watching Pride and Prejudice(2005)
