Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me.
I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.
Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs.

Shuri patching up one broken soldier, and Ava having her unique problem, put me in mind of this. Ava could present an interesting problem for Shuri, but also someone in need of help and empathy.

Their scene when Janet heals her touched my hero/anti-hero shipping heart. Ava os so determined but boundaries she won't cross, and Janet treated her with such empathy. I’d love to see them meet again.
Nebula/Shuri:
Shuri with a cyborg alien! Nebula with her traumatic history around her cyborg parts! Tension and kindness and quiet understanding! What if Shuri hadn’t been snapped; what would their bonding over those five years look like?
James "Rhodey" Rhodes & Nebula, James "Rhodey" Rhodes/Nebula:
Speaking of quiet understanding above, I love that for these two as well. It was one of my favorite bits of Endgame. Maybe they could talk post-battle, or if they spent some time together in those five years.
Carol Danvers/Nick Fury, Carol Danvers & Nick Fury:
I loved their easy chemistry, the fact that Nick named his big project after her, and the tension of the moment when she comes back and he’s not there. Keep that chemistry platonic or lead it towards shippiness, I’m here for it all. How about a missing conversation during either movie, or post-Endgame?
Carol Danvers/Nick Fury & Goose:
The same as directly above, but with Goose added! They are his favorite people who aren’t Mar-Vell. Maybe they try to coax the tesseract out of her with no luck. Or Goose is there with Carol to greet Nick post the unSnappening. Or Carol tells Nick Goose stories from when she was still with Mar-Vell.
Nick Fury & Goose:
I love how much Nick loves cats and Goose in particular. It broke my heart that Goose cost him his eye. Tell me the process of them re-bonding afterwards. Maybe five things he and Goose did while Carol was away, or five things Goose did while Nick was gone.
Carol Danvers & Goose:
Goose is a great judge of character. Did they have any adventures when Carol didn’t know about aliens? What did Goose think about Carol being in the dark? Tell me about their reunions, whether with the amnesiac Vers or with Carol before she leaves again, or after her return in Endgame. Or all of them!
Carol Danvers/Gamora:
I feel like they might’ve heard of each other, given that one is out helping people and the other is a daughter of Thanos. I also like that for a time they both fought on the wrong side, although it happened in different ways. It’d be fun if they met!
Gamora & Nebula:
I love them and the way their need to survive their father complicates their relationship, their desire for family. Give me flashbacks to that past. Give me some missing scenes between Guardians of the Galaxy 2 and Infinity War, or Nebula mourning the sister she finally found. Give me Gamora remembering her during her last moments. What are Nebula and past!Gamora’s thoughts on Nebula killing her past self? How do they part again?
Gamora/Thor:
I really enjoyed the moment in Infinity War in which Thor empathized with her troubled family relationships. It’d be fun if they had more time to spend together, or perhaps an AU in which they meet under different circumstances. Thor traveling the galaxy, Gamora having left her father...or maybe she hasn’t quite yet. I’d prefer it if Peter and Gamora never got together for this.

Luke Cage/Mariah Dillard:
I loved their foeyay. Mariah gifting him not only with the club but with Harlem itself was delicious, and I’m just sorry it could only happen once she was dead. Give me some of their tension in an AU where she lived, or a missing/alternate scene.

Carol Danvers/Buffy Summers:
I’d love it if these two met! Snarky, cocky bruisers who work best when they embrace all of themselves, emotions included. What would they say to each other about how they discovered their powers? Maybe Buffy can take a space trip sometime post-“Chosen”, righting wrongs without the “only one in the world” duty. Or Buffy, exhausted, is pleased at finding someone with more stamina than she.
Thor/Buffy Summers (BtVS):
See the above! Snarky, cocky bruisers. Plus I like that they both have a bit of a fallen princess/prince arc on their way to being heroes on Earth. What if Thor had landed in early 2000s Sunnydale? Or post-“The Gift” Buffy actually goes to Asgard/one of the other Nine Realms, and/or she goes there post-“Chosen”?
Game of Thrones Crossovers
Thor & Daenerys Targaryen (GoT), Thor/Daenerys Targaryen (GoT):
I love them and their egos and their genuine desire to do good by others. I also love that they’re both the heirs to a violently-established dynasty which they have to come to terms with: Dany conquering but not wanting to be violent on the same way as her father, early Thor taking it for granted that he can invade Jotunheim and later having the rug pulled out under him as to his father’s and Asgard’s past. Maybe they’re both heirs to big deal space empires and arranged to be married as part of a political alliance, or they meet during a war and respect each other despite being on opposing sides. Maybe they’re war buddies. Or Thor is a god the Targaryens worship.
Note: I don’t mind talk or thoughts about Dany and Targaryen “madness”, but I’d prefer Dany not actually be “mad.”
Star Wars Crossovers
Carol Danvers/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars):
It’d be so much fun if these two met! They could run into each other in the Unknown Regions, maybe, both of them wandering around helping people, or perhaps Ahsoka runs a bit farther than she planned to while avoiding the Empire. Or Carol is AU’d into the Star Wars universe as a brainwashed lieutenant.
Thor/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars):
I like their arc of embracing their culture and wanting to be the best within it, only to become disillusioned as they learn more about the Jedi/Asgard and their relationship to their cultures and to the wider universe. I also enjoy their confidence and their fighter’s instinct. What if an AU in which Jedi Ahsoka has to be part of a mission with prince Thor? Or Ahsoka, a refugee in the wake of the Empire’s rise, meets King Thor and his Asgardian refugees? Or both?
Brunnhilde | Valkyrie/Ahsoka Tano (Star Wars):
As above, I like how they’re both part of a culture and then become disenchanted with it, how lost they feel afterwards. Valkyrie is the last of her kind and Ahsoka is the last of hers, at least to her knowledge until Rebels. Maybe Ahsoka needs to visit Sakaar on a mission or to escape the Empire.
