Hello, dear writer!

Thank you for offering to write for me. I hope you find this a useful tool. Please discard what you don’t need from it.

A note: I copypasted my likes over from another letter and, so that's why the following sentence in my likes section doesn't seem to make sense: "Also, is it clear that I like crossovers and crossover ships yet? Cross any of the fandoms listed above with each other, or even with one I haven't listed, and I'll love it." Actually, a Star Wars crossover with Xena would be great if you want it.

Likes:

Parallels (and contrasts) between characters and their journeys are a thing for me. Just look at my ships!

I like characters looking out for each other and rescuing each other, giving care and emotional support. Especially when women are the ones receiving care and support, getting their needs made a priority by their loved ones.

Canon divergence and role reversals are loved, though I also enjoy other AUs. Also, is it clear that I like crossovers and crossover ships yet? Cross any of the fandoms listed above with each other, or even with one I haven't listed, and I'll love it.

If you'd rather do something with a character that doesn't involve the ships I listed, that would be appreciated too! In the end they're just my favorites.

Here are some more things I enjoy: fusions, vignettes, character studies, plotty stuff, angst, fluff, smut, adventure, characters talking to each other, character focus in smut, enemies to lovers, friends/lovers to enemies to lovers/friends, pining, worldbuilding, quiet character moments, bittersweet endings, happy endings, open endings with hope/upbeat tones, romance, gen, gen with a strong dose of romance, quiet and subtle romance, the total opposite of quiet and subtle romance (passion, fervor--after all, my fandoms have a high melodrama quotient)

DNWs:

Character death (with an exception for Anakin/Vader, where either way works for me), mpreg, detailed gore, detailed description of bodily fluids and excretions, noncon, rape, incest, permanent breakups, a/b/o, genderbending unless it's for the male characters, body horror, explicit and/or permanently damaging torture, maiming, mutilating, bashing of characters or ships, unrequited love (except if it's only unrequited in a characters' head), unrequested ships (though mentions are okay)

Caveat: Referencing something in that list which happened in canon is all right. I’d just rather not it be a main feature in the story.

Onto fandoms! Some of these ships have occupied my brainspace longer, and so those sections get wordy, but I am very squeeful about all of them.

Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008) - All Media Types

Anakin Skywalker/Ahsoka Tano, Anakin Skywalker & Ahsoka Tano

Most of these prompts are meant to work with either ship variant. Pre-ship in between goodness also! If her age is mentioned, I’d rather Ahsoka be at least seventeen for shippy stuff, whether you fudge the canon years a little or just set it at a time she’s that age.

I love the theme of Ahsoka being a bright mirror to Anakin: they share good traits and bad, but she makes decisions he can’t—whether as major as being able to let the Jedi (and the only life they knew) go or as comparatively minor as listening when Padmé tries to teach them about nuance in politics. I love that their connections to the light and dark are textualized in the Mortis arc, and that Ahsoka is the only person Anakin succeeds in saving until Luke. These two have fun and get each other instinctively, and they take care of each other the best they can.

Handle Padmé whichever way you prefer. They never got together: she requested different protectors because Anakin was leering at her, never confessed her feelings; they never even went to Geonosis, or Anakin refused to take her to Tatooine with him, or they didn’t marry after her confession. Have them never meet again after Phantom Menace, never meeting at all if you want to AU it even more. Maybe it just didn’t work out after they did get together. Or she died one of the times she was in danger during the movies and show; between movies even. As long as there’s no bashing of her and the relationship isn’t more than a background element, if it’s there.

I like nuzzles, cuddles, and praise! (And so do they.) Anakin knowing Ahsoka is awesome. Mischief. Growling. Pampering. Hurt/comfort. Banter.

Son-infected Ahsoka isn’t killed—perhaps the Son dies before he can kill her—and Anakin won’t leave the planet without her.

He tries to reconnect after she leaves.

Increased physical affection after she’s left.

Smut where Anakin teaches her how to be in the moment.

AU where Anakin wants to keep Ahsoka from leaving him again, so he aims to seduce her and regain a little more power in the relationship—not that he knows what’s motivating him. Neither of them expected to discover feelings.

In a backstory that didn’t make it to screen, Ahsoka was once almost kidnapped and sold into slavery because of her Force sensitivity. What if she ended up on Tatooine with Anakin before Qui-Gon came? Or if they meet later, after he’s joined the Order? Maybe she’s escaped, maybe she hasn’t. I’ve seen AUs in which Anakin was freed by a Sith Lord; maybe that’s what happens to her—she becomes a Sith (with her canonical independent streak, is she a bit much for her master?) and they meet under those circumstances. Or this is one such Sith Anakin AU, and he’s the one who frees her.

Separatist AU! Ahsoka, never found by the Jedi, befriends a padawan before the Clone Wars starts. Or the other way around! Alternately, curious padawan Ahsoka captures a Separatist Anakin and learns to see the other side as people. What if they’re both Separatists, and never joined up? Maybe combine this with a variant of the last prompt.

Ahsoka is a padawan when Anakin finds out Palpatine’s identity—maybe during one of the times he meddled, or endangered Padmé—and they murder Palpatine together. Chaos ensues, and they become isolated from everyone they know. Possibly on the run? It’s fine whether this during the Clone Wars or Revenge of the Sith. This was originally a DW crossover idea from [personal profile] selenak, taken with permission for a previous exchange and altered to work as a noncrossover prompt. (But if you watch that show and like this train of thought!)

Shili and Togruta culture world-building. Tatooine world-building.

Species swap! Role reversal!

I like outside pov and fictional histories/legends...like little field notes here and there, or quotes from in-universe media. Or the story’s just a collage of these snippets, not necessarily linear.

More prompts for these two in my Chocolate Box letter.

Star Wars: Rebels

Ahsoka Tano & Thrawn | Mitth'raw'nuruodo

I really enjoy Thrawn’s sincere (not that that does them any good) respect for the abilities of the female members of the Ghost crew, and it felt like a shame he only came into the story after Ahsoka departed it. AU where this isn’t the case? Or missing scenes concerning what Ahsoka was up to during season one, or something set before the show? They don’t necessarily have to meet (although if you want Ahsoka’s continued existence revealed that way, that works too); I like the idea of them fucking each other up from a distance. Feel free to work in Kallus’ defection, Vader, and Palpatine as much or as little as you want. I haven’t read Thrawn: Alliances, but if there’s any reference to Ahsoka and you want to use it, go ahead!

Ahsoka Tano/Darth Vader, Ahsoka Tano & Darth Vader

Most of these prompts are meant to work with either ship variant. Pre-ship in between goodness also!

I love the idea of Ahsoka and Vader, with all that history between them and an intense bond they don’t know what to do with, going from enemies to a place where they can be together again—as friends or lovers. As I said the Clone Wars section above, I love how Ahsoka is the light to Vader’s darkness. She’s the one person to make him consider a different path—even if only for a few moments—until Luke, and in turning back from her vengeance she shows the path he didn’t take: a way to live past the ruin of your own life, find stability in yourself, acknowledge the truth of your feelings, and let go of what causes you pain. I like the way Mortis is brought back through Morai; just as Ahsoka is the only one Anakin could cheat death to save, she’s also the only one who escaped his post-Vader wrath intact.

A Vader lives AU where Ahsoka comes to see him after Endor. Ghost Anakin reaches out to her. A look at them spending the rest of their lives (or just her life) together, removed from the rest of the galaxy (save visits from Luke.) Maybe having adventures in the Outer Rim, or a cottage somewhere. Tatooine, for the irony. (Triply so; Luke taking him to the place both of them longed to leave, and Ahsoka encountering the past he never wanted to talk to her about.) He teaches her how to Force Ghost and she comes back to him when it’s time.

Following the idea of them ending up together during their last days (or just hers), I like outside pov and fictional histories/legends...like little field notes here and there, or quotes from in-universe media. Or the story’s just a collage of these snippets, not necessarily linear. What if a pilgrim of some kind (Rey? Kylo Ren? Maz?) finds echoes of them on a quest for knowledge of the Force? Or finds some secret record of Ahsoka’s association with the Daughter? Maybe they were just reading up on Ahsoka (who must’ve been remembered as one of the founders of the Rebellion and its first spymaster), or investigating Vader, and stumbled into something much bigger than they thought.

Ahsoka as the gothic heroine! Her role is reminiscent of the gothic romance and romantic suspense novels I read as a child. She’s a passionate, caring woman left melancholy, isolated, haunted. Her narrative is fraught, horror intermingled with love. There’s a fanart I love of her sneaking into Vader’s castle and seeing him in the tank. It makes me think of my favorite part of the 1991 Beauty and the Beast, with Belle wandering into the West Wing. Ahsoka did track his inquisitors to Mustafar when she investigated him—what if she’d gotten further? Or maybe a complete gothic-style AU? If it helps, some of my favorite gothic stories: Rebecca, The Haunting of Hill House, We Have Always Lived in the Castle. There’s also the older classics, like Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights, Dracula, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein. I also read a lot of Victoria Holt and Phyllis A. Whitney, though the novels are all a blur by now. Please feel free to draw on anything else you like for inspiration!

Full on secret identities AU. (Though the setting can be canon.) Fulcrum hates Vader, Vader hates Fulcrum. But Ahsoka Tano and Anakin Skywalker get on right away, and time only deepens their bond. A tale of love and espionage.

I like the idea of them meeting again much earlier, in the first year or so after the empire was established. She was on the run, purposeless and lost; he was still raw from the transformation of his choices, trying to commit to a new purpose. How would they react to each other? Would Ahsoka be able to sway him away from his new life, or would he sway her into the Dark Side? Perhaps a little of both. Or what if she finds him wounded on one of his early missions—possibly he happened to be investigating reports of her activities, and he might not even know they were hers at first—and runs away with him?

Anakin died—on Mustafar or on Malachor—and Ahsoka is literally haunted.

AU where Vader wants to keep Ahsoka from leaving him again, so he aims to seduce her and regain a little more power in the relationship—not that he knows what’s motivating him. Neither of them expected to discover feelings.

He was into taking her alive at first, then moved to kill her in a sudden rage when she accepted his identity and responded with her promise. What would’ve happened if she had just tried to leave while he was on his knees calling for her? If she’d moved to kill or disable him instead of opening herself up? Or if he’d been able to take her prisoner when he first realized she lived and she was unconscious on the Ghost, or any of the other times his Inquisitors were sent after her?

More prompts for these two in my Chocolate Box letter.

Sheev Palpatine & Ahsoka Tano & Darth Vader

What happens if Vader ever finds out Ahsoka survived? Given how he was ordered not to hunt her himself, I don’t feel Palpatine would tell him. Would he have any idea it’s connected to the Mortis gods and what happened there?

I wonder how a confrontation like the one on Malachor would’ve worked out if the Emperor had been the third party present, rather than Ahsoka’s friends. Palpatine is open to new apprentices after all, and Ahsoka brought Vader to his knees. Of course, in the episode that was after Vader knocked her out briefly, and didn’t follow it up with a kill. How would either of these situations have worked out? If Ahsoka and/or Vader reacted by trying to kill Palpatine, depending on how he interfered? If Ahsoka became a prisoner, with Palpatine keeping an eye on how Vader’s interrogation is going, or perhaps not letting Vader be in charge of the interrogation at all, or even have access to her? What kind of games does Ahsoka play to keep herself alive—or get herself killed if she needs to protect information—and to reach her old master, if she accepts who he is? Is there a scenario where she surrenders herself to him, entangles herself with his master to try to figure him out?

If you come up with a way for her to outwit Palpatine, or for him to underestimate her and make a mistake, that’d be cool.

Kanan Jarrus/Ahsoka Tano, Hera Syndulla/Ahsoka Tano, Kanan Jarrus/Hera Syndulla/Ahsoka Tano

Ahsoka knew Hera long before she met the rest of the crew, which I love and we didn’t get enough backstory for. Tell me about a pre-show adventure! The first time Ahsoka heard of her! Perhaps there was a mission that required Ahsoka’s oversight, or she’s been keeping track of the fight on Ryloth (partly for nostalgic reasons)? Or how about missing scenes throughout the course of the show? Sometime during season two, Hera notices there’s something up with Ahsoka. She doesn’t push because they both keep their distance when it comes to some things, but she does offer support. Or Ahsoka supports her during one of her visits to the crew. Maybe they have a talk after that time Ahsoka doesn’t want Hera rescuing Kanan, because they both understand prioritizing the greater cause and saving the ones you care about.

I love the warmth of Ahsoka and Kanan’s dynamic. He trusts her pretty fast, he worries for her even with her capabilities outstripping his, and he defers to her judgment. They formed a quick connection despite not spending much time together. Maybe their being survivors made them feel like they knew each other without having to know all the facts? An AU where Ahsoka found him while they were both on the run, or after she joined the Rebellion but before he did?

Perhaps where she visits him and Hera on the Ghost sometimes, even before the show, and she becomes a part of their relationship even when she’s away? Ahsoka has a connection to the Rebellion which gives her purpose, much like Hera, but she also knows what it’s like to lose her purpose along with everything else after Order 66, like Kanan. If she were in a relationship with those two, how would it work out with Kanan and Hera’s aforementioned issues being what they are?

(No one had offered for this fandom by the time signups ended; I'll update the section as soon as I can in case someone wants to treat it.)

Once more, thanks again for your time and effort! I know I’m going to love the gift of your creativity.
